FRANK & PENELOPE Trailer: Lovers On The Run Give Chase From Dogmatic Cannibals In Sean Patrick Flanery’s Directing Debut
Actor and producer Sean Patrick Flanery has made some terrific strides in front of the screen of late, including two of my favorites – Shaun Paul Piccinino’s American Fighter and Alex Ranarivelo’s Born A Champion. Apart from his other screen credits though, he’s done some directing for television about fifteen years ago and lo and behold, he’s back at the helm for his first feature with horror thriller, Frank & Penelope.
A tale of love and violence when a man on his emotional last legs finds a savior seductively dancing in a run-down strip club. And a life most certainly headed off a cliff suddenly becomes redirected – as EVERYTHING is now worth dying for.
Newcomer Billy Budinich stars alongside Caylee Cowan as they lead the cast, with Johnathon Schaech starring as a cannibalistic Bible thumper whose psychotic family has its sights set on either snacking on the two lovebirds, or converting them.
Kevin Dillon, Donna D’Errico, and scream queen Lin Shaye also star with a press day to be held Cannes on May 23, followed by a select theatrical release in fifty cities in the U.S. set for June 3.
