GEARS OF WAR: David Leitch To Direct The Long-Awaited Video Game Adaptation For Netflix

David Leitch (The Fall Guy, Bullet Train) will direct Gears Of War for Netflix, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Current Dune franchise scribe Jon Sphaits is adapting the screenplay following his hire back in 2023.
The streamer is developing their adaptation of the hit game for the screen with the game franchise’s Canada-based developer, The Studio Coalition. Leitch is also producing the film alongside Kelly McCormick for 87North.
