Go Behind The Scenes In A New Featurette For SPECIAL ID!
Want some more Yen-action? Then take a look at a quick new behind the scenes reel for director Clarence Fok‘s upcoming Hong Kong action thriller, Special ID. The film is easily one of the most anticipated films for the second half of 2013 since litigation surrounding the film ended with all matters likely settled in court by now.
Donnie Yen shines as the lead once again in this, his latest follow-up, which returns him to his Sha Po Lang roots in a hail of flying fists and feet and pulse pounding MMA-style choreography courtesy of Yen and his team, including Hong Kong action veterans Bruce Law, John Salvitti and Kenji Tanigaki. The film also comes in light of recent news that the international martial arts action star plans on turning the film into a franchise of its own, similar to Jackie Chan’s highly successful classic Hong Kong film series, Police Story, according to Sina.
This, on top of Kowloon Walled City, The Master, Crouching Tiger-Hidden Dragon 2: The Green Destiny, Iceman 3D: Part Two, the currently filming Teddy Chen action thriller, The Last Of The Best, and the upcoming surprise MMA cop follow-up, Sha Po Lang 2…
Seriously, what CAN’T this man do?
Yen starred and produced the upcoming film which is set for an October 3, 2013 release, also starring Andy On, Ken Lo, Jing Tian, Qi Daji, Ken Lo and Collin Chou.
Enjoy!
