South Korea often endures a few spikes in the emergence of low-budget fisticuff actioners. The publicity isn’t hugely there, but there is an audience for these kinds of films, and so for folks who are always so hard up for the next action film, July seems prospective enough.
Thus, Korean audiences will be the first to get a look at God Of Fight: Sirasoni, from director Kim Seung-kwon, and a cast that includes Baek Jae-min, Lee Se-ho, Ahn Chan-woong and Kang Da-hyun. HanCinema describes it as “an action film depicting fighters fighting against a group that earns money by broadcasting fight scenes”.
The official trailer is up and running which you can check out above. As far as potboilers go, I’ve seen worse, but this looks like it sells. No subs, but it is what it is.
