HAWKEYE Teases A Six-Part Holiday Thrillride In The Newest Trailer
When one is on a team with a god, a scientific anomaly, and other incredible superheroes, it can be hard to stand out on one’s own. And yes, I’m paraphrasing the song Hawkeye once sang about his superpowers. I have to admit that while I have read lots of comics, the only things I know about Hawkeye are what I’ve seen in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and though he is impressive, throughout his first movie appearances he was overshadowed by, to quote Yelena, “the big ones.”
Thanks to Disney Plus and its Marvel series kick, though, Hawkeye gets to step out of the shadows and gets his own series which starts November 24th. The first trailer had me pretty excited even though it’s full of Christmas stuff like decorations and music. Despite the story taking place during my least favorite time of the year, the show looks like it has other things to keep my interest: not only does Barton have to come out of retirement, but he is also training a fellow archer, Kate Bishop. With Marvel’s balance of action and banter, this may be a holiday-themed show that I actually like!
We already know that the Marvel shows on Disney Plus have been quite successful and popular so here’s hoping that Hawkeye keeps that trend going.
