HITBOY: Don’t Miss The Latest Trailer For Bor Ocampo’s New Boyhood Crime Pic
Director Bor Ocampo’s latest, Hitboy, drew some peculiarities following its recent CineFilipino Film Fest screening this month. Adrian Cabido leads the narrative here playing a thirteen year-old hitman-for-hire, beleagured by a pregnant girlfriend and a strained opportunity to redeem himself to his employer following a botched job.
UnReel’s Geoffrey Ledesma rates it at two stars out of five next to a few reviews online that cite it as largely imbalanced between its grimness and comedic delivery. I don’t really know what that means myself except at face value, this one might have me feeling unsettled, but the poster looks somewhat stark, and the trailer sells itself like a pretty upbeat coming-of-age crime drama.
Check it out below and judge for yourselves I suppose.
