Alas, leave it to Selam Tadese, an actor who’s worked a few stunt gigs and now has ambitions to direct a feature using none other than sign language to couple with some sweet martial arts action choreography. His newest shortfilm and first directorial piece, Jen Wú, aims to match energies with a longer-form piece, and it’s been online as of last weekend.
Tadese is joined by actress and stunt performer Indira Hong Rieck in the title role along with Felix Kosse and Jennifer Dessin-Brasching, with action sequences by Felix Fukuyoshi whose feature credits in stunts partly include The Matrix Resurrections, Vidyut Jammwal thrillers Sanak and Commando 3, and Andy Long’s Luc Van Tien.
