JESUS SHOWS YOU THE WAY TO THE HIGHWAY, THE WOMAN, BLOODTIDE And More Head Up Arrow Video Channel’s June Line-Up
Miguel Llansó’s Jesus Shows You the Way to the Highway was a fascinating festival feature delight last year. The film now stands as part of Arrow’s subscription-based Arrow Video Channel line-up, exclusively in the U.S. and the U.K., with Llansó’s film launching June 1.
The year is 2035, and Special Agent Gagano (Daniel Tadesse, Crumbs) dreams of leaving the CIA to open a business with his wife Malin (Gerda-Annette Allikas). Before he can hand in his resignation, however, a strange cyber virus attacks Psychobook, the CIA’s operating system, forcing Gagano to enter cyberspace via virtual reality to combat the threat. Before long, however, the virus starts to reach out into the real world, destabilising the fragile socio-political order for its own ends, and Gagano, trapped in the VR world, must find a way out before it’s too late.
Arrow launched it’s SVOD service back in 2017 and is now home to rafts of genre titles from hit directors like Shinya Tsukamoto (Tetsuo I & II, Tokyo Fist), Jörg Buttgereit (Necromantik I & II), Takashi Miike (Terra Formars), Hideo Nakata (Ring), Harley Cokeless (Black Moon Rising), and many, MANY more.
The Arrow Video Channel is currently streaming in the U.S. courtesy of Apple TV+, as well as on Amazon Prime in the U.K.. Read the line-up below for June and other genre and catalogue selections below.
