J.J. Abrams Says The New BABY DRIVER Trailer Is Awesome!
Already beholden to a number of positive reviews following its SXSW premiere this Spring, Edgar Wright’s latest, Baby Driver, is finally off to a June 28 theatrical release, and with a promotional campaign running virbrantly with a few trailers. Speaking of, of course, a brand new trailer is here and centrally themed on the soundtrack – a fitting tribute given the film’s premise about a young and talented getaway driver whose goals away from a life of crime are hindered when he’s pulled into a job that’s doomed to fail.
Ansel Elgort stars in the film along with Jamie Foxx, Lily James and Kevin Spacey. An international version of the trailer can be viewed here, otherwise, the new official “TehKillYah” trailer is now online in the player below. It’s pretty solid and looks like a promising good time at the movies but… you don’t have to take just my word for it. Star Wars: The Force Awakens helmer J.J. Abrams weighed in via Twitter on Thursday with the following:
Well, if he says so!…
Native New Yorker. Lover of all things pizza, chocolate, pets, and good friends. Karaoke hero. Left of center. Survivor. Fond supporter of cult, obscure and independent cinema - especially fond of Asian movies and global action cinema. Author of the bi-weekly Hit List. Founder and editor of Film Combat Syndicate. Still, very much, only human.
