LEAVE NO ONE BEHIND: Get A Look At The Trailer For The New Tactical Action Thriller Now Playing In Indonesian Cinemas
Professional MMA fighter Suwardi Becak Lawu is trading in his gloves for a clapperboard of late with his latest Indonesian action thriller, Leave No One Behind. The official trailer came out last month upon the film’s local release a few weeks ago.
Suwardi (Suwardi Becak Lawu), a police officer with the rank of Assistant Police Commissioner, is transferred from Jakarta to his hometown in Garut in order to carry out a mission from the State’s Anti-Trafficking Task Force to combat kidnapping and human trafficking. His happy return turns into a nightmare when his own niece, Lilis (Cinta Kharisma), is kidnapped by a Human Trafficking (TPPO) kingpin. Overcome by deep guilt and in conflict with Asep (Iyang Darmawan), Lilis’s father, Suwardi forms a special team to eradicate the largest human trafficking network in West Java led by Rando (Macho Hungan). Ambush after ambush drags Suwardi into a vortex of increasingly large fistfights and gunfights until a shocking fact about who Rando really is is revealed.
Are you sure?
Also starring are Yati Surachman and Piet Pagau. There’s only been a few pages with some visible info about this project which is how I found the details after the trailer came on my radar, and the edits in the footage are a little concerning, although I’m keen on believing there’s more to it than what’s proffered.
Beyond that, who’s up for more action of a Southeast Asian variety? My hands are up. Check out the trailer:
