New To Tubi? Love Martial Arts And Action? Here’s What’s Available!
If you’re not yet keen on Tubi, it’s a free ad-supported streaming service that contains a plethora of films and TV shows. It’s of a certain variety and the titles rotate but the line-up is always great depending on your tastes, and it never runs out of martial arts content.
That’s where I’m coming in as of this week and it just so happens there’s a few new titles now streaming which I’d like to list, along with some recommendations, the first being Yes, Auntie! (otherwise known as My Asian Auntie). It’s the remixed feature film cut of the season webseries from Art School Dropouts that was directed by Joey Min who stars in the title role, and is joined by Stephanie Pham, Robert Samuels, Leroy Nguyen, Robert Jefferson, Sharif Anael-Bey and Angela Jordan.
You also have Kazuhiro Yokoyama’s 2014 action comedy, High Kick Angels which pits an empassioned, amateur filmmaking club haphazardly against a criminal gang who’ve decided to use their empty school building as a command center for nefarious purposes, with Kanon Miyohara and Kaede Aono host to much of the high-kicking action eye candy.
Jesse V. Johnson’s The Debt Collector also just made its way to Tubi this week where you will also find Eric Jacobus’s Death Grip, Lim Sang-yoon’s A Company Man, Yoon Jong-bin’s Kundo, Xu Haofeng’s Judge Archer and The Sword Identity, David Ren’s The Girl From The Naked Eye, Rustam Mosafir’s The Last Warrior, Bueno’s Gun Caliber, Ross Boyask’s Warrioress, Noboru Iguchi’s The Machine Girl (a worthy viewing before setting eyes upon the recent reboot), Yun Jong-bin’s Nameless Gangster, Jizhou Xu’s The Liquidator, Sarik Andreasyan’s Guardian, Mathieu Weschler’s Covert Operation, McKay Daines’s Shadow Wolves, Giordano Gederlini’s Samourais, Shao Shang Wei’s Bloody Destiny, Thanh Son Le’s Clash, Jacob Lass’s Tiger Girl and Asun Mawardi’s Mortal Enemies.
I’d list them all but it would take more time and would eliminate the purpose of motivating you to venture out yourselves and download Tubi to see what’s what. There’s ample loads of Hollywood action, old school kung fu and various genre titles out of Asia and Europe, and so you’d do well to take some time and sift through the platform and what it has to offer. But remember, the titles circulate between a certain number of weeks, so pace yourselves, but do indulge!
