NITRO RUSH: Alain Desrocher’s Canadian Action Thriller Gets A North American DVD/VOD Release In March From Breaking Glass Pictures
It was in 2007 when Security director Alain Desrochers arrived to the scene with Nitro, a race-against-time action thriller about a family man forced into a dangerous mission in order to save his wife.
Fast forward about nine years later and the filmmaker was finally able to pursue a sequel returning actor Guillaume Lemay-Thivierge back in the dauntless role of Max in 2016’s Nitro Rush. That film now has a North American DVD and VOD release pending for March 2 from Breaking Glass Pictures; A formal announcement hasn’t yet been made either but feel free to click here for pre-order options!
Max is serving time for the role he played in a police officer’s death. When the film begins, Max learns that a criminal organization has just recruited his 17-year-old son Theo. Desperate to get him out of this situation, Max escapes from prison. He discovers that Theo and his best friend Charly have fallen under Daphne’s control, an alluring femme fatale, taking advantage of the teens’ expert computer skills to plan a bold and risky burglary. Quickly understanding he’ll be unable to persuade his son to walk away from it all, Max joins the team to protect them. His driving skills and his athletic prowess will prove to be invaluable assets in this action-packed sequel.
Also starring are Antoine Desrochers, Madeleine Péloquin, Raymond Bouchard, Micheline Lanctôt, Alexandre Goyette, Antoine Olivier Pilon, Jean-Nicolas Verreault, Michel Charrette and Andreas Apergis. Desrochers penned the script with Martin Girard, and features stunt sequences by Jean Frenette.
