Kapil Verma has worked on more than 90 films as a cameraman on films like Baaghi 2 and 3 and films like War from director Siddharth Anand, 2017 heist thriller Baadshaho and Hrithik Roshan’s 2003 flick, Koi… Mil Gaya and its 2006 superheroic sequel, Krrish, and my personal favorite which is Bang Bang.
Until recently, Verma had only done one shortfilm with 2018 action drama, Nitishastra, and now he’s upped the antee to even greater degrees banking on his feature debut from Zee Studios titled Om: The Battle Within, starring Aditya Roy Kapoor alongside actress Sanjana Sanghi.
OM is the story of a special forces Para commando officer on a mission to save his country and finding answers to questions that have clouded his entire existence. This adrenaline pumping action triller blends personal sacrifice with valor of a patriot who stops at nothing when it comes to protecting his country.
It’s worth noting that Verma’s resumè shares several titles on which he alongside his father, actor Tinnu Verma who also served in action directing, stunt performance and coordinating capacities through out his career of over 60 film credits. So, arguably the experience is defintely there aside from having stunt multihyphenate Parvez Shaikh (War, Dhaakad, upcoming Brahmastra and Vikram Vedha) on board the film’s action team.
Om: The Battle Within opens July 1.
