It’s a story five years in the making for writer and director Quentin Tarantino whose ninth film, Once Upon A Time In Hollywood, is currently in pre-production with hopes of a Cannes premiere in the next few months. Actors Leonardo DiCaprio and Brad Pitt, and actress Margot Robbie began making the rounds in new posters this week while the official trailer is now online from Sony whose Columbia label releases the film in July.
Quentin Tarantino’s ONCE UPON A TIME IN HOLLYWOOD visits 1969 Los Angeles, where everything is changing, as TV star Rick Dalton (Leonardo DiCaprio) and his longtime stunt double Cliff Booth (Brad Pitt) make their way around an industry they hardly recognize anymore. The ninth film from the writer-director features a large ensemble cast and multiple storylines in a tribute to the final moments of Hollywood’s golden age.
Martial arts enthusiasts following the film’s updates also get a taste of actor Mike Moh in the role of Bruce Lee to pepper things up. Of course, all that’s been ado with the press mentions of the film’s Manson context is obscured for the time being, but definitely expect this to factor in some with Robbie in the role of Manson family victim Sharon Tate.
