ONE MORE SHOT Reteams Scott Adkins, Michael Jai White And James Nunn For ‘One Shot’ Sequel

One More Shot is the name of the newest production underway following up last year’s One Shot from director James Nunn, and reuniting action stars Scott Adkins and Michael Jai White now in their fifth screen pairing together. The updates come following a story post featuring both actors teasing a new project in the works via Adkins’ own Instagram page where the actor also published the following reel which you can view below:
Screen Media released the first film in the U.S. introducing Adkins in the role of a Navy SEAL team leader who comes under fire from a band of mercenaries while accompanying a CIA analyst to escort a suspected terrorist from a black site. Our own Matthew Essary tuned in last year with a review underscoring one key facet of the film’s successful delivery:
“…what made this a dream project for James Nunn was his desire to present the story in real-time and in one continuous tracking shot. A film packed with gunfire, explosions, and hand-to-hand confrontations presented in such a way is a massive undertaking for even the largest of film productions, and to attempt it with a small budget and a tight shooting schedule would have to be nearly impossible, right? Well, no one told that to James Nunn and Scott Adkins. They not only pulled it off but they also have given viewers one of the best action films of the year.”
The film also marks a third reunion for Adkins and Nunn since firstly working together on UK brawler threequel, Green Street: Never Back Down (2013). Casting updates remain pending, as does market and international sales movement.
