RUMBLE THROUGH THE DARK Sees Aaron Eckhart Punching His Way Out In The Official Trailer
Sibling filmmaking duo Graham Phillips and Parker Phillips (The Bygone) have since made headway with their latest and second feature work together behind the lens. For this, we turn to Rumble Through The Dark, an adaptation of author Michael Farris Smith’s 2018 novel now bound for theaters and home releases beginning in November.
Rumble Through The Dark is billed as a gritty, brooding bareknuckle tale of redemption featuring a cast led by Aaron Eckhart, Bella Thorne and Maryanne Jean-Baptiste. Eckhart plays Jack Boucher, a bare-knuckle fighter drowning in debt and lingering dementia after years of concussions. After losing the fertile land and centuries-old home handed to him by his dying foster mother to the banks, a chance to win it all back puts him in the crosshairs of the queen of Delta vice, Big Momma Sweet. With the help and guidance of a sultry, tatooed carnival worker named Annette, Jack’s efforts will ultimately land him back in the ring for a life-or-death fight in a last-ditch effort to save his family home.
Cassian Elwes (The United States Vs. Billie Holiday) and Cleta Ellington (Lake George) produced the pic with a script also by Smith, and with fight sequences by David Conk (“Black Lightning,” The System, The Bikeriders).
Lionsgate will release Rumble Through The Dark in theaters from November 3, and on Digital and on Demand from November 10.
