A television veteran director for more than twenty years, Naomi Tamura’s work as one of several directors on 2020 television drama, Seven Secretaries, now brings us her latest treatment now in the form of her feature directing debut, Seven Secretaries: The Movie.
The original TV Asahi drama centered on a ramen shop owner, a housekeeper, and five other secretarial workers who’ve all formed a clandestine group of vigilantes using their own respective skillsets to help the weak and punish the evil. The new movie teams Tamura with one of the show’s original screenwriters, Miho Nakazono.
All seven principle cast members – The Fable and The Fable 2 star Fumino Himura, Office Royale actresses Alice Hirose and Nanao, Psychokinesis star Shim Eun-kyung, Sanada 10 Braves star Yuko Oshima, Angry Rice Wives star Shigeru Muroi and The Blood Of Wolves and Last Of The Wolves actor Yosuke Eguchi – have returned to reprise their roles from the series.
There aren’t any story details being revealed to help outline what the new feature-length continuation; Really the last part of the description basically says something to the affect of “What will change this unreasonable world, corrupted by money and power? The future of Japan is now entrusted to the nameless ‘Seven Secretaries’!”…
