Sony’s KRAVEN THE HUNTER Attaches ‘The Equalizer 2’ Writer
Jeff Sneider at Collider is exclusively revealing screenwriter Richard Wenk is now attached to pen Marvel adaptation, Kraven The Hunter. The film has been in development at Sony Pictures since it was announced last year as a likely addition to the syllabus of titled unrelated to their current efforts with Spider-Man, much like Venom and Silver & Black.
Sneider notes the title character, (a.k.a. Sergei Kravinoff) as “one of Spider-Man’s best known and most formidable enemies“, as well as half-brother to fellow Spider-Man villain, Chameleon. The character first debut on the pages of Marvel in 1964 from creators Stan Lee and Steve Ditko and has since often appeared in numerous multimedia installments
Wenk, whose credits include 16 Blocks, The Mechanic, The Expendables 2, Jack Reacher: Never Go Back, and Antoine Fuqua’s remake of The Magnificent Seven, recently penned The Equalizer 2 which is now in theaters from Sony.
