SPIRIT GUARDIANS: THE LAST SECRET OF THE FIRST EMPEROR Teaser Trailer Revealed For The New Vietnamese Period Epic
As promised, the good folks over at Vietnam’s BHD have unveiled the first official teaser trailer for Spirit Guardians: The Last Secret Of The First Emperor. A-lister Tuan Tran stars in the film along with Johnny Tri Nguyen who makes his return to a Vietnamese marquee title in a decade, in which he also serves as action director following his hailed exploits on films like The Rebel and Clash.
Spirit Guardians: The Last Secret Of The First Emperor is directed by Phan Quan Binh Nguyen and takes place in the 10th century where seven loyal warriors are tasked with transporting 99 coffins across the kingdom as a ruse against the enemy in order to protect the location of the last burial ground of the first Vietnamese emperor. The film also features action actress Thien Tu and TV star Tu Long, along with Le Vu Long, Do Thi Hai Yen, Quach Ngoc Ngoan and Hua Vi Van alongside martial artist Diep Quang Binh and seven-time Wushu world champion Nguyen Thuy Hien.
The film opens locally on August 28 in time for National Day in Vietnam. Watch:
