Move over, fake trailers! Fans can now get a glimpse of the official new teaser for director J.J. Abrams‘s new trilogy reboot, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, courtesy of Apple.
The teaser is also getting a theatrical screening in select theaters as well, and with a little over a year longer before its release, the wheels are already turning with further developments expected for one of the upcoming Star Wars
spin-offs from director Gareth Edwards
and writer Gary Whitta, which may or may not make it a heist movie depending on whether or not you believe the latest rumors

‘s take on the second of the new trilogy which is expected for a 2017 release. In the meantime, followers of this long-enduring franchise can expect more gems in the coming months regarding what the trilogy itself, in which case, this teaser is kicking things off to an impressive start; Tie Fighters, Tatooine, Stormtroopers, the re-emergence of the Sith, newly refurbished lightsabers, lasers, and a flyby from the Millennium Falcon? Why not?

Abrams, and Bryan Burk, and John Williams returns as the composer. Star Wars: The Force Awakens is Episode VII in the Star Wars Saga.
