Word may have gotten around earlier on but the trades are now officially reporting the cancellation of AMC’s hit series, Into The Bandlands.
AMC’s hit television series, Into The Badlands, scored an epic follow-up last year with its second season, layered in tragedy and revelations that now shape forthcoming events that await for season three. Daniel Wu is back to lead the cast in prime fashion along with Aramis Knight for its April 22 premiere at 10:00 p.m. EST/PST, and the official trailer has finally arrived unleashing the usual onslaught of storied survival, deception, consequential upheaval and the cream filling of it all: chock-filled martial arts action madness!
Granted, if you haven’t seen the second season, you can catch seasons one and two on Netflix or where ever it is sold on digital or DVD. Season three once again sees Wu in the role of Sunny, rejoined by Bajie forced to journey back into the Badlands to save his son Henry after contracting a mysterious illness. When he arrives, new twists of fate will see him reconvening with The Widow, as will old enemies, to take out a looming threat in the form of a nomadic leader wishing to usher in a new era of “peace”.
Emily Beachem, Nick Frost, Eleanor Matsuura, Ally Ioannides, Stephen Lang, Orla Brady, Sherman Augustus all reprise their roles with new additions in Babou Ceesay, Lorraine Toussaint, Ella-Rae Smith, Lewis Tan and Dean-Charles Chapman.
The official trailer arrived over the weekend. Take a look if you fancy it!

Into the Badlands Season 2 finds Sunny (Daniel Wu) and M.K. (Aramis Knight) separated and scattered to the wind, each imprisoned in unlikely places. While M.K. struggles to control his powers, Sunny is determined to fight his way back into the Badlands to find his family or die trying. On their journey, Clipper and Colt are assisted by mysterious, new allies whose motivations may be anything but pure. Meanwhile, The Widow (Emily Beecham) continues to consolidate power against the other Barons, while a dark and mysterious threat prepares to exact revenge on them all. Alliances are struck, friendships betrayed, and by season’s end, Sunny and M.K.’s lives will be forever altered with devastating consequences.
“Preacher” is a supernatural, twisted and darkly comedic drama that follows a West Texas preacher named Jesse Custer, who is inhabited by a mysterious entity that causes him to develop a highly unusual power. Jesse, his badass ex-girlfriend Tulip and an Irish vagabond named Cassidy come together and when they do, they are thrust into a crazy world populated by a cast of characters from Heaven, Hell and everywhere in between.
“We can’t imagine any other network bold enough to embrace a show like this,” said Gough and Millar. “We are incredibly grateful to Charlie, Joel and the entire AMC team for taking this leap of faith with us and we look forward to continuing the journey into the Badlands!”
The last thing we need is more waiting for the upcoming series, Into The Badlands, which can’t arrive to AMC fast enough it seems. Judging by all the clips making way online, the show is easily being one of the biggest and most hyped out there and proven nonethless by the heavy-duty marketing now in effect.

Preacher is the story of Jesse Custer (Dominic Cooper, Agent Carter), a conflicted preacher in a small Texas town who is inhabited by a mysterious entity that allows him to develop a highly unconventional power. Jesse, his ex-girlfriend, Tulip (Ruth Negga, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.), and an Irish vampire named Cassidy (Joseph Gilgun, This Is England) embark on a journey to, literally, find God.
Into the Badlands is a genre-bending martial arts series very loosely based on the classic Chinese tale Journey to the West. In a land controlled by feudal barons, Into the Badlands tells the story of a great warrior and a young boy who embark on a journey across a dangerous land to find enlightenment.
