BLOODSHOT: Vin Diesel Battles A Time Loop Of Cyclic Vengeance In Two Inaugural Trailers For The Valiant Comics Live-Action Adaptation

It’s trying times for the comic book genre in which the Valiant Comics Universe now looks to make some headway investing in its own properties. Enter Bloodshot, the brainchild of Kevin VanHook, Don Perlin and Bob Layton whose 1992-launched supersoldier character will get its first major studio outing from debut director Dave Wilson, and Marvel franchise player Vin Diesel who gets to notch this one in as a comic book movie milestone. After he and his wife are murdered, Marine Ray Garrison (played by Vin Diesel) is resurrected by a secret team of scientists. Fans looking to tune into something or anything Vin Diesel-related can now pan over to new photos being released teasing the actor’s incarnation of Valiant Comics’ supersoldier, Bloodshot. Diesel will be on hand on Thursday alongside fellow Fast And Furious cohorts Tyrese Gibson and Sung Kang and Reach Out WorldWide CEO Cody Walker for the fourth annual fundraising event. The photos provide a sneak peak at some of the signed, exclusive prizes, rewards and collectibles (of which there are more than a dozen) straight from the set of Diesel’s new film currently in production in Cape Town, South Africa. Actor Vin Diesel is still brewing a return to the Fast lane for Universal with at least two films to go. Apart from this, it was back in January that word arose of his name circling the title role of debut helmer Dave Wilson’s Valiant adaptation, Bloodshot, adjoining the actor with another prolific comic book IP since attaining Marvel’s “Groot” in Marvel’s Guardians Of The Galaxy. It was this week, however, that Deadline’s report cites an official deal in writing for Sony Pictures production hailing as one of a raft of films encompassing a cinematic universe based on the Valiant comic book series. Sony Advances BLOODSHOT With Vin Diesel In Talks To Star

Vin Diesel’s franchise profusion continues this week with The Wrap exclusively reporting on Monday regarding his latest potential bid to headline the 2019 release, Bloodshot. Tim Miller’s Blur Studios cohort Dave Wilson has long since been attached to direct from Arrival scribe Eric Heisserer’s script which centers on a newly resurrected supersoldier tasked with rounding up harbingers. The xXx and The Fast And The Furious star already has more from these franchises on the way while Bloodshot now reportedly gives Diesel a high-concept sci-fi actioner to add to his work history, and with an R-rating to boot. Diesel will likely be rejoining Fast franchise producer Neal Moritz who is alsp producing the film Dinesh Shamdasani whose Valiant Comics launched the comic book character in 1992. With Sony Pictures still brewing their Valiant Comics slate, this week’s update now has actor Jared Leto up for the title role of Bloodshot in a new feature adaptation. Dave Wilson, Deadpool director Tim Miller’s partner at Blur Studios will be making his feature debut as of March with Original Films’s Neal Moritz and Toby Jaffe producing with Valiant’s own Dinesh Shamdasani. Upon confirmation, Leto’s role will see him as Angelo Mortalli, a ruthless mob enforcer ensnared by both the family and the Witness Protection program, only to be subject to an experimental program involving the use of cutting-edge nanites to reconstruct his brain and body, turning him into a superhuman killing machine equipped with enhanced strength, speed, endurance, and healing. Sony’s current development of comic book adaptation, Harbinger is still without a director, but it appears one other feature-length end of the Valiant Entertainment spectrum with Bloodshot has finally landed its helmer. The word now is that Dave Wilson, Deadpool director Tim Miller’s partner at Blur Studios will be making his feature debut following credits that include promotional materials for Halo, Titanfall 2 and the recent mini-movie for Star Wars: The Old Republic. The announcement, according to Bleeding Cool, was reportedly made by accident over at Emerald City Comic-Con which was held at Washington State Convention Center in Seattle with Arrival scribe and Valiant Comics writer Eric Heisserer and Valiant Entertainment CEO Dinesh Shamdasani in attendance. Independent comic book platform Valiant Comics struck big with a nine-figure deal a month and a half ago when it partnered with Chinese investment firm, DMG Entertainment to help pitch its numerous comic book properties with a lean toward film production. What’s as important as this, though, is how the source material gets tackled, which means who will be the team behind the forthcoming productions of such titles as Bloodshot and Harbinger.
