Cambodian Martial Arts Romp, JAILBREAK, Traps You Behind Enemy Lines In The Official Trailer!

The campaign is in full swing for director Jimmy Henderson’s new movie, Jailbreak. The most recent teaser offered a meaty whiff of the exciting action to come while the rewarding factor of this latest affair stems from the coming onslaught of screenfighting talent straight from Cambodia and abroad.

Lead actor Dara Our sure proved himself in this regard with Henderson’s Hanuman a few years ago, as has UK actor and martial artist Jean-Paul Ly following a number of action credits such as Street Fighter: Assassin’s Fist, Scott Derrickson’s Doctor Strange and hit TV series, Cuckoo. Thus, challenging as it is to snag an opportunity to stand out more prominently in leading film roles past stunt performance, it always helps that there are filmmakers who recognize talent and potential when they see it. Jailbreak isn’t the first example of this and rest assured, it won’t be the last.

SYNOPSIS:

A group of Special Task Force Officers are sent to Koh Kla prison where they detain the country’s top criminals. What started as a simple escort mission will soon turn into chaos as the prisoners take over the prison grounds. Trapped in the building, our 4 heroes will have to get their way out for survival, or die trying.

Jailbreak, from Puprom Entertainment and Kongchak Pictures, is releasing on January 31 with more news hopefully to be expected beyond Cambodian screens. Joining in on the action with sequences choreographed by Ly are actors Savin Philip, Sirivudh Sisowath, martial arts exponents Tharoth Sam, Tara Vy and Law Plancel, and former AV star Cèline Tran making her feature film debut as the principle villain.

JAILBREAKING AND TRAILBLAZING: An Interview With Producer Loy Te

At the forefront of all this is producer Loy Te who was on hand for last week’s press conference in Cambodia to announce the film and its cast and agenda. Te’s schedule is a fully-loaded one as of late, though thankfully I was able to send Te some questions to help shed light on the film and other details about Cambodia’s newest prospect in the martial arts and action film genre.

Celine Tran Stays Sharp In The New Action Short, BLADED MINDS

Former pornstar turned comic-book co-creator and author Celine Tran is heating things up this summer having recently debuted her newly evolving skill set in action performance for films with the shortfilm pitch for the new comic book series, Heartbreaker. To say the least, much of the response appears to be nothing short of upbeat and optimistic as it not only presented a look into a brand new superheroine franchise, but a new rising star in the process of completely reinventing herself for the world of action cinema.

Well, if you thought there was any indication that Heartbreaker would be the end-all-be-all for Tran‘s latest experimental ventures in the genre, then you couldn’t be more wrong. She’s taking it quite seriously having already trained with a handful of stunt professionals in a few parts of the world, including Wild Stunts member Kefi Abrikh and independent filmmaker Godefroy Ryckewaert who popped up on my map as recently as late last year. And this weekend, the three are back with a new noir test fight shortfilm symbolically titled Bladed Minds, featuring Tran and Abrikh in a fast-paced one-on-one swordfight to the end.

It’s another noteworthy display of sheer, solid action design and performance with a few laughs at the end, and one I highly recommend marking as another step up for an actress who is well on her way to standing out in a whole new way.

Celine Tran Is A Sexy Vampire Hunter In The New Shortfilm Promo, HEARTBREAKER

It is not often that you see adult entertainment performers step into other aspects of film and acting, and there are quite a few people out there who are doing just that. If you would like an example, then look no further than actress and ex-porn star Céline Tran (formerly known as “Katsuni”), who is now taking her interests into the fun-filled world of comic book lore with Heartbreaker, a new edition of 619 Label’s French comic book anthology, Doggybags, from author, cartoonist and artistic director, Run (a.k.a. William Fox).

And how do you suppose they would market this new installation? Well, the new shortfilm promo below should answer that question, directed by Run and featuring Tran in the lead role as our black-clad sword-wielding, vampire vaporizing superheroine in a full-on assault that takes bullet ballet to a whole new level of sexy!

Wild Stunts (Europe) member Vincent Gatinaud designed the action and VFX with stunt and fight coordinators Kefi Abrikh and Mathieu Lardot.

French comic book aficionados will get first dibs on the new installment beginning June 13. In the meantime, check out the red-hot, NSFW footage in the embed below, and let’s hope this concept gets some feature treatment!
