Ready Or Not, The New Teaser Trailer For MISSON: IMPOSSIBLE – ROGUE NATION Is Here!
The fuse is lit, and the first official teaser for this summer’s Mission: Impossible Rogue Nation is finally up and running. And yes, that is Tom Cruise, beating up baddies, dodging bullets, and hanging off buildings…and an Airbus A400. Yes, he hung outside of an airplane. He did that for real.
Simom Pegg also returns with Ving Rhames and Jeremy Renner all reprising their slightly more expanded roles with actress Rebecca Ferguson now joining the team as Cruise beefs up to take down government corrupt suits while going toe-to-toe with “The Syndicate. Actors Alec Baldwin and Sean Harris also star for Jack Reacher helmer, director Christopher MacQuarrie who now offers his follow-up take on the $2 billion dollar success story that is this franchise based on the classic television series.
Drew Pearce and Will Staples wrote the script and for all intents and purposes, the title itself is pure kickass with epic footage to accommodate. Check it out below and mark your calendars for July 31 courtesy of Paramount!

No McQuarrie For JACK REACHER 2
Director Christopher McQuarrie is still in the process of directing Mission: Impossible 5, the latest installment of the title franchise with scribe Drew Pearce and lead actor Tom Cruise for its December 25, 2015. In the meantime, it appears that the two will not be partnering again for a second offering in the forthcoming Jack Reacher sequel from Paramount Pictures and Skydance Productions, following its announcement late last year.
Empire spoke to author Lee Child whose 2005 novel, “One Shot”, inspired its live action iteration a few years ago in which Cruise plays a U.S. Army Military Homicide investigator caught in a conspiracy involving the murder of five people. “McQuarrie is going to be in post-production on Mission: Impossible 5,” says Child. “He just physically can’t do it. It’s going to be a new backroom crew, which I think is good. I thought the McQuarrie movie was fantastic, but let’s see someone else’s take on it.”.
“One Shot” is the ninth book in Child’s book series, and it turns out the sequel will head directly into Jack Reacher: Never Go Back, based on the eighteenth book in the series published last September. The sequel is currently awaiting script completion, but has a synopsis for the time being, via JoBlo:
Reacher heads back to his old military base in Virginia to take a woman to dinner who is now the commanding officer. By the time he gets there, she has been arrested, and Reacher finds himself being charged with pummeling one guy and fathering a child with a woman. He can’t remember either transgression but gets to the bottom of it with cunning and sometimes brute force.
Stay tuned for more Jack Reacher news as it follows!

MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE 5 Adds Rebecca Ferguson And Alec Baldwin
Following a lawsuit dismissal just a few days ago involving screenwriter and former plantiff Timothy Patrick McLanahan, things are moving forward with some further casting news for the forthcoming production of the tentatively titled Mission: Impossible 5. Paramount Pictures annouced the film last August with actor Tom Cruise producing as well as returning to the role of agent Ethan Hunt in the fifth film of the series, pairing him once again with Jack Reacher helmer Christopher McQuarrie.
Trade site Deadline has reported the addition of two more names to the confirmed cast, including London actress Rebecca Ferguson in the female lead, and actor and former MSNBC host Alec Baldwin in the role of the C.I.A. director. Simon Pegg, who debuted his role in the the third film and continued into the fourth confirmed his return to the franchise with MTV last November, while actor Jeremy Renner stated his return to the franchise earlier last month; Renner joined the franchise with actress Paula Patton for the fourth film, Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol, which became the biggest film of the franchise grossing nearly $700 globally under director Brad Bird.
There’s no word yet on what the plot will entail regarding Iron Man 3 co-scribe Drew Pearce’s screenplay, and none on whether or not Patton or franchise actor Ving Rhames or Ghost Protocol actress Paula Patton will be back on board. Mission: Impossible 5 bows next Christmas.
Stay tuned for more info.

[UPDATED] Reset The Day In An Extended, Enhanced Trailer And Six Featurettes For EDGE OF TOMORROW!
The story unfolds in a near future in which a hive-like alien race, called Mimics, have hit the Earth in an unrelenting assault, shredding great cities to rubble and leaving millions of human casualties in their wake. No army in the world can match the speed, brutality or seeming prescience of the weaponized Mimic fighters or their telepathic commanders. But now the world’s armies have joined forces for a last stand offensive against the alien horde, with no second chances. Lt. Col. Bill Cage (Cruise) is an officer who has never seen a day of combat when he is unceremoniously demoted and then dropped—untrained and ill-equipped—into what amounts to little more than a suicide mission. Cage is killed within minutes, managing to take an Alpha down with him. But, impossibly, he awakens back at the beginning of the same hellish day, and is forced to fight and die again…and again. Direct physical contact with the alien has thrown him into a time loop—dooming him to live out the same brutal combat over and over. But with each pass, Cage becomes tougher, smarter, and able to engage the Mimics with increasing skill, alongside Special Forces warrior Rita Vrataski (Blunt), who has lain waste to more Mimics than anyone on Earth. As Cage and Rita take the fight to the aliens, each repeated battle becomes an opportunity to find the key to annihilating the alien invaders and saving the Earth.
