Marvel’s Thunderbolts* are coming, at long last with an official teaser trailer now up to signal fans with the latest move in the post-Endgame comic book saga following Black Widow and Disney+ series Falcon And The Winter Soldier. Jake Schreier directs the pic starring Florence Pugh, David Harbour, Hannah John-Kamen, Wyatt Russell, Olga Kurylenko, Sebastian Stan and Lewis Pullman, and more. There’s no official logline yet, but gather as much as you will from the footage below as there’s plenty to sift through. This thing was leaked online a while back too, but it’s nice to see an asset like this with way more clarity than something spy-shot from an angle, which is pretty lame. Beyond that, May 2, 2025 is the date!
The creative team behind one of last year’s biggest hits is coming back for more with The Wrap’s Drew Taylor reporting limited details confirming a sequel to Tommy Wirkola’s Violent Night. The report defers to quotes from Wirkola who verified the return of lead actor David Harbour in the role of a kick-ass Norse mythology-based Santa Claus who in the first film descends with a vengeance on a gang of home invaders led by John Leguizamo. Wirkola on the production status so far: “We have time to really crack the script and figure out the story,” Wirkola said. “And we have some ideas, me and Pat and Josh and the producers, we’ve been talking about where we want to take it and what we want to see.” That would be Pat Casey and Josh Miller who Wirkola is referring to as the writing duo will also be charged with the […]

Beholden to strict Covid-19 protocols, production is officially underway in Detroit for No Sudden Move, a new heist thriller from HBO Max and Warner Bros. Pictures. Oscar and Emmy-winner Steven Soderbergh (Oceans Trilogy, Haywire) is directing from a script by Ed Solomon (Mosaic, Men in Black), with Casey Silver (Mosaic, Godless) attached to produce. No Sudden Move is set in 1955 Detroit, and centers on a group of small-time criminals who are hired to steal what they think is a simple document. When their plan goes horribly wrong, their search for who hired them – and for what ultimate purpose – weaves them through all echelons of the race-torn, rapidly changing city. The ensemble cast is led by Don Cheadle (Black Monday, Ocean’s Eleven), Benicio Del Toro (The French Dispatch, Sicario), David Harbour (Stranger Things, Black Widow), Amy Seimetz (The Comey Rule, The Girlfriend Experience), Jon Hamm (Baby Driver, Mad […]
THR and Variety both had their breaking news breaks on Wednesday announcing Stranger Things series co-star David Harbour and actress Rachel Weisz as circling roles in 2012 Nazi drama Lore helmer Cate Shortland’s standalone Black Widow adaptation. The two may join Florence Pugh (Fighting With My Family) who recently boarded the project to be led by recurring Avenger Scarlett Johansson who took on the Marvel role beginning in Iron Man 2 (2010). Jac Schaeffer is penning the script for which exact plot details are being kept under wraps, as well as character descriptions. This week’s Black Widow developments come on the heels of Marvel’s latest success with Brie Larson’s title performance in Captain Marvel which just broke a billion dollars worldwide at the box office. Casting continues on Black Widow as we venture into April with Harbour’s stint as Hellboy for director Neil Marshall on April 12. Two weeks after […]
Well there’s no Billy Idol here, but the latest official trailer is here for director Neil Marshall’s very much R-rated adaptation of Hellboy coming in April. We have new posters as well but as almost always, there are two versions of the new Hellboy trailer out now – the green band and the red band versions, and you can best believe I’m featuring the latter here. Because we love red-bandy things! Based on the graphic novels by Mike Mignola, Hellboy, caught between the worlds of the supernatural and human, battles an ancient sorceress bent on revenge. As far as reboots go, I’m reminded of news that there’s actually one for DreamWorks’ Shrek franchise in the making as well as I just watched Shrek 2 last night; it often makes me wonder about the nature and overall faith by studios remaking Hollywood properties that have already earned the approval of fans. Time […]
It’s trailer day for Neil Marshall’s upcoming comic book adaptation, Hellboy, and yes, I was despondent and in mourning when we all learned Guillermo Del Toro wouldn’t be doing a threequel with Ron Perlman. I think after all said and done, we can pretty much rest our worries here; As much as we loved the 2004 and 2008 movies, at the very least, the official trailer now online and running jam-packed with energy, action and fun suggests that Marshall smartly tapped into the one thing that ought to pull some disenfranchised disbelievers back into the fray: Tone. Based on Mike Mignola’s graphic novels, David Harbour leads the cast for this latest go-around that also enlists Ian McShane, Daniel Dae Kim, Sasha Lane and Milla Jovovich. The footage, bookended with the lively tune of Billy Idol’s “Mony Mony”, bodes with an equally robust nature and feel that reminds the fans how […]
Demons have demons, too. #Hellboy arrives in @IMAX on 4.12.19. pic.twitter.com/6rqHSG721P — Hellboy (@HellboyMovie) December 17, 2018 Feeling a slow start to your week and need a little jolt for your Monday? IGN declared Thursday as trailer day for Lionsgate’s Hellboy which opens on April 12. The site also presented the first teaser poster for director Neil Marshall’s latest which you can check out below. Based on the graphic novels by Mike Mignola, Hellboy, caught between the worlds of the supernatural and human, battles an ancient sorceress bent on revenge. David Harbour is staking his claim in the title role next to Ian McShane who will play Professor Bruttenholm. Also starring are Daniel Dae Kim as Ben Daimio, Sasha Lane as Alice Monaghan, and Milla Jovovich as the Blood Queen. Stick around for trailer day in less than four days!
The most recent Hellboy reboot was the shot heard around the comic book fandom, affecting any and all who’ve been fond of Guillermo Del Toro’s treatment of Mike Mignola’s 1993 Dark Horse publication. Further upset was stirred prior to the addition of actor Daniel Dae Kim in the days that followed Deadpool co-star Ed Skrein’s departure following a whitewashing backlash pertaining to a Japanese-American character. All things now settled and considered, the new adaptation, Hellboy: Rise Of The Blood Queen, hailing from Lionsgate for a January 11, 2019 release, is looking to ease fans’ concerns some with a preferable nudge into better graces. They’ve done so with a few new photos of Strange Things series co-star, actor David Harbour in the title role and in full Hellboy mode as filming began this week. Harbor and Dae Kim are joined by Ian McShane and Sasha Lane with actress Milla Jovovich in […]
Well, he’s not taking the Cable mantle as once suspected a little while back for Marvel’s Deadpool 2. Instead, actor David Harbour is being eyed to don the signature shaved horns and red skin in the title role of a new outing for Hellboy with word that The Descent helmer Neil Marshall is up to helm a complete reboot. Millenium Films is reportedly behind the move for the tentatively-titled Hellboy: Rise Of The Blood Queen, which reportedly has a script written by Andrew Cosby, Christopher Golden and “Hellboy” creator Mike Mignola, as THR writes. Negotiations are now underway with producers Larry Gordon and Lloyd Levin to relauch the once popular indie comic property for the big screen with Dark Horse Entertainment’s own Mike Richardson is also producing. This comes, personally, and partly as heartbreaking news. Granted, I dig Harbour as an actor and especially after Stranger Things, but I among […]
I can’t tell you worth a stone’s throw just what the heck that really was with all those hype updates showing photos of Pierce Brosnan, Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds. That said, it was clear how akin people mostly were to believing that the Irish actor was the one to be cast as bionic-armed time-traveling soldier, Cable, in director David Leitch’s Deadpool 2 which still awaits a release date from 20th Century Fox. As time has now shown, that appears not to be the case as it ha been confirmed according to The Wrap that actor David Harbour is being eyed for the Marvel character who first popped up in the X-Men comics in 1986 from creator Rob Liefeld. Harbour (A Walk Among The Tombstones, Sleepless) took the stage back in January with a fiery progressive speech joined by his fellow cast members in their acceptance of SAG award for […]
