X-Men: First Class scribes Zack Stentz and Ashley Miller have officially been tasked to provide the screenplay for the new film which will also be executive produced by veteran scribe and former partner with Alex Kurtzman, writer Roberto Orci. The new film marks the first major feature-length effort since Saban Comapany launched the American Tokusatsu crossover hit series on TV almost 20 yearz ago, prior to two Hollywood films hit the big screen between 1995 and 1997. INSURGENT Finds A 'Red' Director

Following a sharp rise in book sales for author Veronica Roth’s 2011 YA publication of Divergent in light of Lionsgate’s boosted earnings from the 2013 theatrical release of The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, the studio has been busy fast tracking their new soon-to-be hit trilogy franchise with Divergent stars, actress Shailene Woodley and actor Theo James tapped to reprise their roles in the May production of the upcoming sequel, Insurgent, while searching for a director. That search ended recently with reports this week stating that Red helmer Robert Schwentke is boarding the project which is set to begin principal photography for its March 20, 2015 release, with a script by Akiva Goldsman from a draft by Brian Duffield. After a rigorous contest among several titles for this year’s MTV Movie Brawl, the push continues for the upcoming release of director Neil Burger‘s new sci-fi action thriller, Divergent. Starring Shailene Woodley and Theo James, the new is expected to help kick off a new trilogy for Summit Entertainment as reports have confirmed a search for a new director to head filiming this May on the second installation, Insurgent, from a script by Brian Duffield and Oscar-winning screenwriter Akiva Goldsman. Divergent also stars Ashley Judd, Jai Cortney, Ray Stevenson, Zoё Kravitz, Miles Teller, Tony Goldwyn, Ansel Elgort, Maggie Q, Mekhi Phifer, and Kate Winslet and is set to release in 2D and IMAX on March 21, 2014, with Woodley and James expected to return in Insurgent and Allegiant for theatrical release March 20, 2015 and March 18, 2016, respectively. LBP Stunts Chicago Reunites Three Of Its Own For Some KUNG FU FIGHT PRACTICE!

Premier action choreography and screenfighting troupe LBP Stunts Chicago makes a triumphant brief return to the foray with three of its own in a brand new fight Kung Fu practice clip directed by LBP mainstay Emmanuel Manzanares, with performances by LBP members, actors and stunt professionals Brendon Huor and Mickey Facchinello. Both performers have extensive experience in acting and stuntwork, in addition to the two last recently appearing opposite each other in action filmmaker Vlad Rimburg’s Donnie Yen-inspired miniseries with Special ID Episode 1: The Mute. Summit Unveils Its Release Slate With DIVERGENT Trilogy Dates

On Monday night, Summit Entertainment published their new release date slate for several of their upcoming films, two of which will follow up the forthcoming release of director Neil Burger‘s science fiction action thriller, Divergent. Based on author Veronica Roth’s #1 New York Times bestselling trilogy of books, the 2D/IMAX March 21, 2014 release of Divergent stars Shailene Woodley and Theo James in a story of a post-apocalyptic society split into five factions where a young woman’s anomalic status may determine the fate of her life, her family, and her world. As per the book trilogy, Divergent will then follow up with the return of Woodley and James in Insurgent and Allegiant for March 20, 2015 and March 18, 2016, respectively.
