As the week moves forward with the continuing production of director Ekachai Uekrongtham‘s new international action thriller, Skin Trade, more and more pictures continue to go viral online, specifically through the social networking efforts of blockbuster action trio Dolph Lundgren, Tony Jaa, and as of recent, Michael Jai White through their respective Facebook pages. Film Combat Syndicate has also gained the opportunity of sharing a few exclusive photos from time to time, and on Saturday, our exclusive coverage continues courtesy of producer Mike Selby with a new set photo at the top of the gallery below, featuring stars Jaa and White with fellow actor Leo Primerano who plays “Janko”.
Set to release in 2015, Skin Trade is the latest pairing of Jaa and Lundgren in a story centered on a tough-as-nails detective whose journey to avenge his slain family leads him to Thailand, aided by a relentless detective to ultimately help put an end to a human trafficking ring. The film also stars actress Celina Jade, and actors Ron Pearlman, Peter Weller and Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa, and is also produced by Lundgren from a script he wrote with Gabriel Dowrick and Steven Elder, with rewrites by John Hyams. The film is also produced by Craig Baumgarten, with action sequences directed by David Ismalone.

Lionsgate’s newest trailer has gone viral this week for the upcoming March 11, 2014 release of revenge action thriller, Puncture Wounds. The film has been a noted passion project for its lead action star, martial artist and MMA celebrity Cung Le for several years now since its earlier conception as its former title, A Certain Justice. To be honest though, the first title sounded like a better seller. In hindsight, however, the name change probably won’t affect the film’s delivery as a whole while action fans have yet another reason to enjoy action movies going into the new year, headlined by directors Giorgio Serafini and James Coyne.
Pitched as a gritty cross between Rambo: First Blood and No Country For Old Men, Puncture Wounds stars Le as a former soldier with PTSD forced to arm himself once more against the Aryan Brotherhood to avenge his family. As with his 2012 hit Dragon Eyes, Le also coordinated the action sequences with training partner, co-star, stunt coordinator and fight choreographer Scott Sheeley, and guest fight choreographer Jimmy Lui.
Le also produced the film with Skin Trade actor, blockbuster action star Dolph Lundgren who plays the villain. Actress Briana Evigan and actors Vinnie Jones, James C. Burns, Jonathan Kowalsky and Jake Jacobson round out the cast.
SYNOPSIS:
After returning home from a traumatic tour of duty in Iraq, John finds himself struggling with PTSD. What little peace he had managed to build around him is shattered one fateful day when he rescues a local call girl from a group of violent Aryan Brotherhood pimps. Having killed several of the high-ranking brotherhood during the rescue, John and his family are now the prime targets of Hollis, the ruthless criminal leader of the group.

Tony Jaa:There was an initial sense of pressure during Ong Bak since it was my first real starring role. During the filming I became comfortable with the format. I found that I enjoyed acting and the action parts were already something I enjoyed and had done for fun for many years. I don’t feel pressured these days since I am doing something I really enjoy. With Fast and Furious 7 coming up I will finally have a chance to work with a real international cast and crew. It will be a learning experience for me and a chance for me to show what I can do. On the family side getting married, having a child has helped give me a great point of focus and an understanding of responsibility towards others.
