ASH Fumes Up A Psychedelic First Poster And 2025 Release Date
Variety’s Jack Dunn debut the first poster for Ash, the new sci-fi thriller from director Flying Lotus, and starring Eiza González, Aaron Paul, and Iko Uwais. RLJE Films has since unveiled a teaser trailer as of October and now the film has a release date set for March 21. On the mysterious planet of Ash, Riya (González) awakens to find her crew slaughtered. When a man named Brion (Paul) arrives to rescue her, an ordeal of psychological and physical terror ensues while Riya and Brion must decide if they can trust one another to survive. Flying Lotus, whose real name is Steven Ellison, directs from a script by Jonni Remmler. The director also stars in the film along with Beulah Koale and Kate Elliott, and will feature an original score composed by Flying Lotus himself. Peep the poster below, and read more at Variety.

ASH: New Flying Lotus Sci-Fi Thriller Reveals A Trio Of Stills With Eiza Gonzalez and Aaron Paul
A trio of first look stills are now up for Ash, the new sci-fi thriller featuring Eiza Gonzalez and Aaron Paul. The film is directed by Flying Lotus (Kuso) and based on an original screenplay written by Jonni Remmler. When a woman (Gonzalez) wakes up on a distant planet and finds the crew of her space station viciously killed, she must decide if she can trust the man (Paul) sent to rescue her. Rounding out the cast are Iko Uwais, Beulah Koale and Kate Elliot round out the cast. XYZ Films and GFC Films are producing, with Neill Blomkamp (District 9) and Echo Lake onboard as exec producers, and XYZ Films co-financing alongside IPR.VC. ASH: Sci-Fi Thriller Recast For Flying Lotus To Direct, Shooting In May
Eiza González (Ambulance) and Aaron Paul (Dual) are attached to star in Ash, the new sci-fi thriller from Grammy Award-winning producer, composer, filmmaker, and rapper Flying Lotus (V/H/S/99, Kuso). Both stars are replacing the previously-added Tessa Thompson and Joseph Gordon-Levitt who were initially cast last August. Jonni Remmler is penning an original screenplay that sees González in the role of a woman who wakes up on a distant planet and finds the crew of her space station viciously killed, and must decide if she can trust the man (Paul) sent to rescue her. Additionally, Flying Lotus, a.k.a. Steven Ellison, will compose an original score for the pic. AFM 2018: Action Thriller WALDO Casts Charlie Hunnam, Mel Gibson And Eiza Gonzalez
Upcoming Jungleland star Charlie Hunnam is set to join the set of Waldo early next year when cameras roll. Tim Kirkby (Fleabag, Veep) is directing the film based on Howard Gould’s 1982 novel with a story that centers on a disgraced ex-LA detective who re-emerges from his mininalist lifestyle in the woods as a private investigator to look into the death of an eccentric TV star’s wife. Alex Ritman at The Hollywood Reporter also confirmed that upcoming Dragged Across Concrete and Boss Level actor Mel Gibson and upcoming Alita: Battle Angel and Kung Fury 2 actress Eiza Gonzalez will headline the cast for the action-packed thriller. IMR International is handling world sales rights at AFM with CAA Media Financing taking domestic.
