Chung Dong-yoon (Stove League) will direct the Netflix thriller series, Gyeongseong Creature. Kang Eun K (Kang Chi: The Beginning) is penning the series with a cast led by Park Seo-jun (The Divine Fury), Han So-hee (Netflix series “My Name), Claudia Kim (Avengers: Age Of Ultron), Kim Hae-sook (Alienoid), Cho Han-cheul (Netflix series “Vincenzo”) and Wi Ha-jun (Netflix series Squid Game). In Gyeongseong Creature, the series is set in 1945 and follows several individuals going up against monstrous creatures born out of human greed and out to wreak havoc on an already troubled world. Park will play Jang Tae-sang – the head of merchant marketplace Golden Jade House, who is the wealthiest, most well-connected person in Gyeongseong. Time will tell what awaits for director Kim Jin-min’s (Extracurricular) new action noir, My Name. Regardless, the first teaser is already proving as effective in its tone and intent following the most recent poster and photo reveals, with more on the way until the film launches on Netflix beginning October 15. Jiwoo joins a drug cartel and becomes a mole in the police force to seek the truth behind her father’s death. She encounters harsh truths in the course of carrying out her revenge. The film stars Han So-hee (The World of the Married, Nevertheless) who reportedly performed the difficult action scenes herself according to the streamer. Also starring are Park Hee-soon (Revenger), Ahn Bo-hyun (JTBC’s Itaewon Class), Kim Sang-ho (Ordinary Person), Lee Hak-ju (Hit-And-Run Squad) and Jang Yull (Jo Pil-ho: The Dawning Rage) from a script by Kim Va-da.
Par for the course for this Fall’s pending premieres will be My Name, directed by Kim Jin-min (Extracurricular). Kim Jin-min (Extracurricular) is making a roundabout trip back to Netflix for the production of action noir series, tentatively-titled Undercover. Produced by Studio Santa Claus Entertainment Co., Ltd (f.k.a Fleet Co., Ltd), Kim will direct from a script by written by Kim Va-da (Life Risking Romance, The Huntresses), with actress Han So-hee (tvN series Abyss) leading the series. Undercover centers on Ji-u (Han), who joins the police force and goes undercover, infiltrating the innerworkings of Dongcheon, a major drug cartel led by enigmatic drug kingpin, Choi Mu-jin (Park Hee-soon – The Witch: Part 1.
