No, I didn’t see Zig Zag. No, I didn’t see The Invisible. Or anything else prolific writer David S. Goyer has directed other than Blade: Trinity, all in my own hope that we would have a solid trilogy on our hands. And no, we didn’t even get that…which is why to date, I always recommend Blade and Blade 2 to fans and friends and I espouse about both movies frequently. Blade: Trinity was an atrocious, forced action comedy with a horribly applied villain, and Ryan Reynolds…boy, never have I wanted to punch someone in the face do much; Yes, he’s since redeemed himself with the Deadpool movies, right in his element where he belongs. Sony Pictures has been working toward a cinematic reboot centered on classic hero character, He-Man for sometime now. Efforts date as far back as 2007 as rumors swarmed the internet and the film’s ownership changed hands to Colombia Pictures via Sony with G.I. Joe: Retaliation helmer Jon M. Chu’s name once circles to direct. Fast forward to 2016 with the official logo already made public from the studio as development still languished for Masters Of The Universe as it is officially titled. As of today, the process is finally getting a nudge forward with word that Terminator: Salvation, Charlie’s Angels and Charlie’s Angels 2: Full Throttle helmer McG is being tapped to direct, according to Deadline. Between the production of director Jon M. Chu‘s latest film, G.I. Joe: Retaliation and its upcoming release, word has stirred about on the internet regarding the filmmaker’s participation in the potential reboot for Masters Of The Universe, the 1987 science fiction fantasy action adventure feature film based on the successful toy and animated television series. Last summer, Huffington Post writer Mike Ryan offered his own fancast, and even action superstar Dolph Lundgren was eager to add his opinion, from what he would like to play to even suggesting Channing Tatum or Chris Hemsworth would make good candidates to inherit the lead role of He-Man.
