Wu Jing And Scott Adkins Trade Blows In The First Teaser For SPECIAL FORCE: WOLF WARRIOR!
Some say that patience is a virtue for anything worth waiting for, and for fans of martial arts stars Wu Jing and Scott Adkins, the reward is finally getting closer with the latest thirty second teaser for Wu‘s solo directorial debut, Special Force: Wolf Warrior (formerly known as Warg and Wolf War).
Up until now, we’ve only gotten small glimpses of the production with some viral stills and behind-the-scenes pics and featurette late last year. Other than that, it’s safe to say the film is still in post-production, but the film presents quite a good looking cast, which namely so far includes Yu Nan (The Expendables 2) and Vincent Zhao (The Blacksheep Affair) to name a few.
Hopefully more official info about the film’s cast, characters and plot will surface. In the meantime, with Wu still on the set of his next thriller, SPL 2: A Time For Consequences with Tony Jaa, Special Force: Wolf Warrior has finally delivered its very first, rewarding teaser, and one that will hopefully be the first of many with Wu behind the camera if he so chooses. Check it out!

SPL 2 Adds Two More To The Cast
Max Zhang strikes a pose in The Grandmaster
Actor Tony Jaa is currently preparing to join several other celebrities for the Middle East Film and Comic Con in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates where it just so happens filming has resumed for Jaa’s Hollywood debut, Fast And Furious 7 in the neighboring city of Abu Dhabi; Make no mistake though, the international action hero did previously state he would finish filming his scenes in June, so it is likely we will not here much from this end unless we are informed otherwise. At any rate, it will still be a busy year for the actor who just wrapped up Skin Trade with Dolph Lundgren and Michael Jai White and will soon be joining a stellar new line up of actors for the upcoming production of The Monkey King helmer Terence Cheung‘s next film, S.P.L. 2, the long awaited follow-up to the 2005 crime thriller which starred Donnie Yen, Simon Yam, Sammo Hung and Wu Jing, and was directed by Wilson Yip who is officially back as the producer for the next film.
This week, there are now more reports that Yam will also be returning, and possibly to reprise his old character, which obviously hints that the film will be a prequel, and you might have an idea about what that could mean if you have seen the first film. In addition, The Grandmaster and Rise Of A Legend co-star, actor and martial artist Jin Zhang (a.k.a. Max Zhang) will also be starring as the film’s main villain, Ma Sun. Jaa, Yam and Zhang will be accompanied by returning actor Jacky Wu Jing who starred in the first film as Hung’s enforcer. Also joining the production will be action choreographer Dion Lam (Spider Man 2, Street Fighter: The Legend Of Chun-Li) and actor Ken Lo, although there are no details regarding what role Lo will play if any. As you might guess, it is still pretty early to know full well what is happening with film as it has since been reported to start shooting this Spring, with Spring having already arrives. Do time will tell as we wait for the official word on who else will board this project, the plot, and whether or not the film will include the first film’s main protagonist, Yen, to some degree or another.
Stay tuned for more news ahead.

SPL 2 Officially Casts Tony Jaa And Adds A New Director
In the past three months, all that we officially knew of the Sil-Metropole Organization Ltd.’s long-awaited sequel for the 2005 Hong Kong action thriller, S.P.L. since it was greenlit back in August was the possibility of actors Francis Ng and Andy On joining returning cast members Sammo Hung and Jackie Wu Jing from the first film, in addition to a cameo appearance by lead actor Donnie Yen with Champions and Revenge: A Love Story scribe, Jill Leung Lai-Yin penning the script . Prior to this, it was well over a year ago that Thailand’s own Tony Jaa was rumored to be interested in playing a role in the film, leaving much for genre fans to hype about over seeing Jaa‘s expansion into Hong Kong cinema territory long before the release of his most recent film, Tom Yum Goong 2, and ultimately, his venture into Hollywood with the July 11, 2014 release The Fast And Furious 7.

New Title And Casting Confirmed For Wu Jing's WOLF WAR
An update over at Chinesemov was unveiled by some viral movement on Facebook earlier today showing the cast listing for director Jacky Wu Wing‘s upcoming commando action thriller, Wolf War. The film was titled Warg and Wolf in previous reports with behind the scenes footage showing Wu and actor Scott Adkins on set filming in camouflage uniforms over late summer in China.
Interestingly enough is that the cast listing also includes actress Yu Nan, who most recently made the spotlight in the all-star cast the 2012 blockbuster, The Expendables 2, and is also set to appear in Fu Huayang’s exotic all-female jungle action thriller, Angel Warriors this November. In addition, the film has also apparently cast actor Vincent Zhao, best known for his work in such action titles as The Blacksheep Affair (a.k.a. Another Meltdown), Wu Dang and Yuen Woo-Ping’s martial arts adventure, True Legend. Zhao is also less preferably known for the headlines he made in the past couple of years when he bumped heads with actor Donnie Yen over script changes for director Clarence Fok’s recently released Special ID prior to him leaving the cast and enduring an ongoing media circus that followed.
At any rate though, it’s good to see Zhao working again. And even moreso, with two of the action film industry’s most popular leading men, and a female actress with the talent to hold her own in an action flick. Now let’s just hope this production brings better prospects for this particularly intriguing upcoming war thriller when it arrives in 2014.
Actress and Pay Back co-star Deng Ziyi is also set to appear in the film. I suppose we will learn more about Wolf War in the weeks and months ahead, so stay tuned as the updates continue trickling through.

Scott Adkins And Wu Jing On The Set Of WARG
The official Scott Adkins Facebook page has unveiled some new set photos fir the upcoming film, Warg. The film stars Jacky Wu Jing in his latest stint as director, now working with actor and action cinema hero Scott Adkins.

Scott Adkins And Jacky Wu Jing Set For War In WARG (a.k.a. WOLF)
Last week on Wednesday, actor Scott Adkins drew a lot of attention on twitter, having ecstatically announced the completion of filming for director Renny Harlin‘s Hercules 3D before returning to Hong Kong after thirteen years to work with actor, martial arts performer and filmmaker Jacky Wu Jing. Adkins did not name the project immediately, although it was later confirmed on his official fan site, Scott Adkins Fanz, that the name of the upcoming film would be Warg, a word that shares its origins with Norse mythology which means “Wolf” in English.
