New SPIDER-MAN: NO WAY HOME Trailer Weaves A Twenty-Year Web Of Epic Rivalry

Welp, the newest official trailer for Spider-Man: No Way Home is here, and I have to say that aside from how cool it looks, everything I’m getting from this footage tells me that director Jon Watts knows my pain. What felt like an over-abundance of Spider-Man movies in the last twenty years seems to finally look toward stemming the franchise fatigue I began feeling after trying to promote the Andrew Garfield-era Spider-Man films and holding onto hope for some industrial fulfillment there. Seriously, it was getting to me. To say the least, for the first time in a long while, I don’t feel that tired. SPIDER-MAN: FAR FROM HOME First Teaser: Parker Gazes As Mysterio Amazes!

Long since proving his mettle in the last several MCU movies, Tom Holland is officially back once again per the upcoming release of Spider-Man: Far From Home, and I’m no comic book buff so between this and Infinity War, I’m all but lost. It does help to know that this film will kick off Phase Four of Marvel’s sprawling, decade-old cinematic universe, but I’ll leave the rest to the pros to figure out. In the meantime, the new movie rolls out on July 5 after Avengers: Endgame in April, and Jake Gyllenhaal’s Mysterio costume is already winning the fans over. Watch Two New Trailers For SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING

We’ve got more than a month until Jon Watts’s Spider-Man: Homecoming opens in theaters and so Sony Pictures has plenty of time and opportunity to make its case. The only minor downside is that apparently Wonder Woman is the most anticipated superhero film of the summer, which is great for Warner Bros.’s still-fledgeling DC cinematic foray, and for a film that’s already rating higher than expected among early viewers. Still, the new film now bringing actor Tom Holland to the forefront of the webslinger’s latest franchise reboot should still garner its share of summer movie success, particularly since the latest cut of the film is what’s pushing the current prospects for Tom Hardy’s R-rated Venom and other shared-Spiderverse titles. I grew pretty fatigued in the months before and after Sony’s 2014 attempt at a summer sequel with Marvel wall crawler, Spider-Man, and before I go any further, I still am, sort of. All of the tedious energy it takes to cover comic book movies – from micro updates on images to casting announcements and confirmations is why I largely don’t cover comic book movies as much as I’d like to, and especially with all of the developments there were at the time for actor Andrew Garfield’s succession into battling the Sinister Six along with the studio’s further push for a possible female Spider-man project in the works.
