Filmmaker Mark Earl Burman hasn’t solo-directed a full feature in more than twenty-five years, but he’s worked within capacity as a producer on dozens of titles in addition to several more acting and screenwriting credits. His sophomore effort treads familiar territory for fans of compelling military and survival dramas with Ambush, tracking back to 1966 during the Vietnam War with the story of a mission gone awry.
Mark Burman’s new war thriller, Ambush, guarantees some explosive action to come now with an official trailer on hand. Burman directs from a script he wrote along with Johnny Lozano and Michael McClung, with Saban Films slating an Digital, On-Demand and theatrical release for February 24.

Voltage Pictures is dishing out a first look at American Night from writer/director Alessio Della Valle. The company, in its deal with ICM, has since acquired international rights to the art heist thriller starring Golden Globe-winner Jonathan Rhys Meyers (Elvis, “The Tudors”), Emile Hirsch (Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, Alpha Dog), Paz Vega (Rambo V, “The OA”), and Golden Globe and Emmy-winner Jeremy Piven (“Entourage”, The Kingdom, Sin City), which they will sell at the Cannes Market which launches on June 21.

Jonathan Rhys Meyers and Dominic Monaghan lead a cast that also includes Josie Ho, and the impressive Bront Palarae who is one of Southeast Asia’s biggest stars to date.In 1839, Brooke flees Victorian England to explore Borneo. Cinedigm Corp is signaling consumers with an official trailer for their latest acquired crime thriller, Awake. The film will release on digital and VOD on August 16, with a Blu-ray and DVD release to follow on September 24, 2019.
