The newest official trailer is out this week for Lee Chung-hyun’s Netflix actioner, Ballerina. The film will have its premiere in the Korean Cimema Today section of the 28th edition of the Busan International Film Festival, beginning a day ahead of its October 6 premiere on the streamer. Busan programmer Jung Han-seok has more from the festival: Ok-joo (Jun Jong-seo) faces the sudden death of her one true friend, Min-hee (Park Yu-rim). A former bodyguard with unrivaled skills, Ok-joo embarks on a mission to find the villain, Choi Pro (Kim Ji-hun), who led Min-hee, once a promising ballerina, to her death. The bolstering of Korean content proves to be a continual winner for Netflix with Lee Chung-hyun’s new movie, Ballerina, par for the course. The film stars Jun Jong-seo, Kim Ji-hun and Park Yu-rim, and is set to launch on October 6. Ok ju (Jun), an ex-bodyguard, is mourning the loss of her best friend, Min hee (Park), who was a ballerina. As she was unable to protect her friend, she decides to carry out Min hee’s final wish and avenge her death. Check out the official teaser below!
Actress Jun Jong-seo will surely look to help steer things along for Kim Hong-sun’s own incarnation, Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area. In the meantime, the Burning and The Call star is now on par to lead Netflix revenge actioner Ballerina, rejoining her with none other than The Call director Lee Choong-hyun. Ballerina will see Jun in the role of Ok-ju, a former bodyguard who must apply her elite skills once more as she sets out on a quest for vengeance on behalf of a friend – a ballerina named Min-hee.
