BRZRKR: Keanu Reeves To Topline And Produce Own Live-Action Adaptation, Animated Series For Netflix

The internet’s ongoing love affair with Keanu Reeves continues to show longevity as of Monday, with reports from the trades announcing a live-action adaptation and forthcoming animated series expanding on Reeves’ hit comic debut, Brzrkr, for Netflix. Reeves penned the comic which campaigned on Kickstarter last year through its launch the following October, publishing then by BOOM! Studios. The news comes just as the film took the number one spot for opening weekend at the box office well north of $56 million dollars, beating out Avengers: Endgame. A new LA Times interview with Warner Bros. CEO Kevin Tsujihara is putting The Matrix franchise back in the spotlight. At a time no better than midway into the production of another John Wick film, Saban is rolling out the official trailer for Matthew Ross’s upcoming crime thriller, Siberia. The Keanu Reeves-led pic is getting a limited theatrical, VOD and Digital HD on July 13 with Ana Ularu, Pasha D. Lychnikoff and Molly Ringwald also starring. The film tells the story of an American diamond merchant (Reeves), who travels to Russia to sell rare blue diamonds of questionable origin.
