The Lady Seals Your Fate With A Kiss In The New Shortfilm, KISS OF VENGEANCE

It was back in 2012 at the height of recent feature successes like Machete and Quentin Tarantino’s Grindhouse Double Feature that a trailer was introduced online for Atrocious helmer Fernando Barreda Luna‘s latest new shortfilm, Kiss Of Vengeance. Since then, the shortfilm completed its overall post-production before leaving an impression during last year’s film festival run as the central pitch to potentially help fund a feature-length film inspired by its concept-a gritty, seething and stylish Tex-Mex revenge opera about a young woman who walks the neverending path of blood to find the men who massacred her mother and father right before her eyes. Big Plans Are On The Way For Mexiplotation Revenge Shortfilm Thriller KISS OF VENGEANCE

I missed the press late last year for the trailer of the upcoming shortfilm from director Fernando Barreda Luna titled, Kiss Of Vengeance. It wasn’t until one of its co-stars of the film, martial arts actor and stunt performer Peter Jang, hooked me up recently with a link to the short film’s official website. Based on what is said on the main page, the film page homage to 1980’s female mexploitation action and kung fu cinema set in the backdrop of the U.S./Mexico border where a little girl who witnesses the massacre of her family at the hands of the Mafia, and grows up to be a rogue gunslinger who lives a life of loneliness, driven by vengeance and committed to deliver her own brand of justice.
