PAY DIRT Cashes In This August From Dark Star Pictures
With Take Back set to shoot this summer as the country continues to try and ween itself out of a deadly pandemic (save for some states, sadly), Christian Sesma’s latest, Pay Dirt, is now up for grabs on August 7 in theaters, and on digital and on-demand from Dark Star Pictures.

HOLLOW POINT: Cameras Are Now Rolling For The New Daniel Zirilli Vigilante Thriller
Director Daniel Zirilli had been slowly hyping his latest project in recent weeks and now is officially in production in Los Angeles with action thriller, Hollow Point. Zirilli penned the script with writers Chad Law and Evan Law (The Shadow Effect, Hero Wanted), and reteams with actor Luke Goss (Blade 2, The Night Crew, Traffik) once more since the 2016 crime flick, Crossing Point.

TRAFFIK Signals With Harrowing Suspense In The Official Trailer
The rather timely release of news over .38 was a pretty smart move as it gets people looking in Taylor’s direction with Traffik now signaling moviegoers, and the trailer itself looks equally amazing. The tagline on the poster itself also helps illuminate much more on what the new thriller alludes as the footage also shows a woman, beaten and bloodied seemingly on the run. The rest is pretty much history with the messaging there which definitely makes this a much more layered work from Taylor.

Luke Goss Takes The Lead In His Directorial Debut, YOUR MOVE
Actor Luke Goss‘s recent films haven’t garnered the attention of mainstream Hollywood following his earlier stints in hits like Blade 2, Hellboy 2: The Golden Army and The Man, but he’s made a ton of direct-to-DVD flicks catered specifically to the action niche since then. This week, the Death Race 2 and 3 actor is now switching gears and multitasking on both ends of the camera for his latest upcoming revenge thriller, Your Move, signaling the film’s commencement about a week ago on his official Facebook page.
Triumphant Pictures CEO Cecil Chambers announced the project back in February with Goss set to take the lead as David Miller, a successful New York businessman who goes above and beyond the law to rescue his wife and child in Mexico after witnessing their brutal attack and kidnapping. Actors Robert Davi (The Expendables 3) and Luis Gatica (Misfire), along with actress Patricia De Leon andDavid Fernandez Jr. join Goss who wrote the script and is also backing the film under his G Productions label with Chambers producing the film along with ArtProd’s own Cedric Magnin and Anthony Topman executive producing.
News of the production also comes ahead of the forthcoming releases of Goss‘s next action thrillers set to release between now and next year, including director Christian Sesma’s AWOL 72, co-written by Chambers with Brick Mansions co-star RZA also starring, and The Night Crew with Jason Mewes and Danny Trejo.

Dolph Lundgren To Star In WAR PIGS And 4 TOWERS
With Skin Trade currently in post production, cinematic blockbuster action hero Dolph Lundgren‘s time is now being spent with Saints And Soldiers trilogy helmer Ryan Little for the forthcoming production of War Pigs, a World War II action adventure epic about a disgraced U.S. Army captain assigned to train a rag tag team of soldiers to infiltrate the Nazi regime and destroy their secret “wonder weapon”. Screenwriters Andrew Knightlinger and producer Steven Luke are providing the script with a meaty cast of action muscle with fellow Expendables alum Mickey Rourke along with MMA pro Chuck Liddell and actor Luke Goss.
The film reportedly has funding, but recently tried to raise a little extra on Kickstarter to pay for extras and other vehicle props before crowdfunding was cancelled sometime thereafter. I suppose this means they have the funds now, although I’m not sure. Whatever the case may be, Lundgren fans clammoring for more of the usual action fanfare have something to look forward to when War Pigs finally comes out.
On the other hand, things get even better with word that Lundgren will be joining another Expendables franchise alum and Universal Soldier: Day Of Reckoning co-star, action star Scott Adkins for their new flick, 4 Towers, with actor Gianni Capaldi rumored to be joining the two along with actress Kelly Overton. The writers and director are unknown at this point but the plot is said to center around Italy’s tactical SWAT team and interpol units as they infiltrate an 11th century castle where a Serbian ex-soldier has taken a corporate dinner company hostage in an attempt to capture Mussolini’s cursed gold and treasure. Promising another chock-full of action and spectacle with thrilling knife fights to boot, 4 Towers sounds like a good way to keep things running on the action front, especially if you’ve been hoping for another Adkins actioner following his departure from director Stephen Fung’s Kickboxer remake.
Adkins is on the way with his next collaboration with director Isaac Florentine in Close Range, and is also up to appear opposite action star and debut director Wu Jing in Wolf Warrior this December in China. Next year he’ll be seen with actor Sacha Baron Cohen in the upcoming comedy, Grimsby, and director Ariel Vroman’s Criminal with Kevin Costner and Ryan Renyolds.
Lundgren will join fellow action hero Tony Jaa in Skin Trade sometime next year, with dates also to be announced for Goss‘s appearances in director Christian Sesma’s AWOL 72 with RZA, and The Nightcrew with Paul Sloan and Bokeem Woodbine.

On-Set Stunts: A Word With Actor Darren Bailey For The New Film, LOST TIME
From L to R: Director Christian Sesma, actors Derek Mears, Darren Bailey and Luke Goss, co-producer A.J. Rickert-Epstein and producer Jerry Apodaca on the set of Lost Time.
The latest trailer is out for the forthcoming release of director Christian Sesma‘s new sci-fi suspense thriller, Lost Time. The film is one of several films fans can expect from the director with a few more on the way featuring actor Luke Goss, who plays Carter, a cop on a mission to rescue his dying girlfriend, Valerie, who ends up caught in a web of supernatural mystery after the sudden disappearance of her sister.
The film also lended quite a memorable experience for up-and-coming actor Darren Bailey (our resident film critic for The Bailey Review), best known for his work as fellow performer and co-founder of independent action film team, Thousand Pounds Action Company. Here, Bailey found himself in the good graces of familiar friends working on the film, including long time friend and film cohort, co-producer A.J. Rickert-Epstein, who brought Bailey on board as a stunt extra and stunt coordinator upon filming, a job that ultimately led to his next collaboration with Sesma for last year’s online Chill miniseries, Vigilante Diaries.
“I met Luke and the rest of the team on a separate shoot day so that I could pick Luke’s brain about what he wanted and present some of my ideas for the choreography,” Bailey said, regarding his time on set for Lost Time. “I knew Luke had a background in martial arts and has worked in big action films like Blade II, Hellboy II, and Tekken, so that put me at ease where fighting an actor was concerned. [Goss] couldn’t have been a nicer, more collaboative person, and we got along well.”.
Bailey continued, “Luke and I shot our fight scene in an alley adjacent to The Last Bookstore in L.A., and when that day wrapped, I was eventually invited to assist with a fight sequence shoot in a hospital scene between Luke and Derek Mears the following week. I let them talk through some of the choreography beats, stepping in when I thought something would sell better on camera, and brought along my stunt pads and mats for the actors, who did all their own stunts in the film.”.
While Bailey‘s current work lies with Hollywood 3D film conversion studio, Stereo D LLC., his passions mainly stick with acting over directing stunts, but he’s as humble about it as he’s knowledgeably eqipped with the skillset it takes to do the job. “Although I wasn’t asked to be stunt coordinator since that wasn’t what I was initially brought on to do, Christian and the producers credited and paid me accordingly as such…” he said. “I just wanted to make sure everyone was safe, regardless of job title and pay, and I love making movies, so to be thrown a bone like that was really unexpected and humbling.”.
Following its world premiere as an opening night selection for this year’s events 2014 Sci-Fi-London Film Festival, the film will finally release this September. Stay tuned further info and to keep in touch with Bailey’s daily happenings, subscribe to his official Facebook page and Twitter as well.
Lost Time stars Goss and Mears, along with actresses Rochelle Vallese and Lin Shaye, and actor Robert Davi.
SYNOPSIS:
Valerie leaves her doctor’s office with her sister, Melissa, after receiving horrific news. Valerie has terminal cancer and no amount of treatment will save her. While driving home together, their car suddenly stops and they are engulfed in a blinding light. Valerie blacks out and when she awakens, her sister has disappeared without a trace. Months later, Melissa is still missing, but Valerie’s cancer has completely disappeared, much to the disbelief of her doctor. Valerie, with the help of her cop boyfriend, Carter, devotes her entire life to finding her sister and to discover what happened to them on that fateful night. Valerie has considered every possibility for Melissa’s disappearance except for one—alien abduction. It would be insanity to think that aliens abducted her sister and cured her cancer. Or is it? Valerie’s dreams and visions of aliens would suggest otherwise. She stumbles across a book by a Dr. Reed called “Lost Time,” which seems to explain the phenomena she is experiencing. She goes to meet Dr. Reed, who promises her answers if she checks herself into his institution for evaluation. She agrees, against the wishes of Carter. What she finds in the institution is beyond explanation. Nothing is as it seems and the concept of reality is turned inside out! And what exactly is Dr. Reed—Human? Alien? Or a new strain of being entirely? It is up to Carter to rescue Valerie from the evil clutches of Dr. Reed and his alien minions, before it’s too late.
