MAX STEEL Nabs Ben Winchell And Anna Villafañe To Lead
As recently as last September, a press release was unveiled detailing the latest developing live-action treatment of Max Steel for the big screen to be released this Winter. This week, Dolphin Films is updating the status of the film’s development with some confirmed casting news, announcing actor Ben Winchell and actress Anna Villafañe for the two principal lead roles of Max McGrath and Syndey Gardner in the new film.
Based on Mattel’s franchise property of the same name, Max Steel is described as an action-packed adventure suitable for all ages, centered on the story of an aspirational high school student and his alien counterpart, Steel, who combine turbo powers to become the titular superhero. Thor: The Dark World and newly announced Thor 3 writer Christopher Yost is penning the script with Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn helmer Stewart Hendler directing for the film’s pending 2015 theatrical release, courtesy of Open Road Films.
