Ben Foster Gets MEDIEVAL In The Official Trailer

IGN recently unveiled the official trailer for Kajínek and Ghoul helmer Petr Jákl’s new period thriller, Medieval, featuring lead actor Ben Foster (The Contractor) in his latest blistering role yet. The Avenue, Highland Film Group’s distribution label, is proudly releasing the film in theaters on September 9 with a cast that also lists Ben Foster, Matthew Goode, Sophie Lowe, Til Schweiger, and Michael Caine. MEDIEVAL Adds Til Schweiger

Monday will mark the start of principal photography for Czech action epic, Medieval. The film’s latest exciting addition to the cast now brings news of actor Til Schweiger, according to Jeremy Kay at Screendaily. Ben Foster covets the central role of legendary 14th century war hero and strategist, Jan Zizka, who, along with his band of men are bound with the fate of an heiress to take down a rival king. As the report notes, Schweiger will portray Rosenberg, the wealthiest lord in the land with Caine playing Lord Boresh, Czech King Wenceslaus IV’s right-hand man. Schweiger is best known for 2016 TV series of late, Tschiller: Off Duty, as well as roles in Green Inferno, Atomic Blonde and as the terse and terrifying Nazi killer Hugo Stiglitz in Inglorious Basterds.
