DUNE Trailer: David Lynch’s Frank Herbert Classic Teases A Sweeping Epic Reboot
David Lynch may have his own thoughts about the finalized version of his own original 1984 adaptation of the titular Frank Herbert novel, Dune. That hasn’t really hindered it from etching a place among the fandom in sci-fi history as one of the most celebrated movies to date, and as such, fans now get to see if the newest revisal from director Denis Villeneuve will stand the test of time from Warner Bros. Pictures.

STAR WARS IX Cast Hugs It Out As Filming Wraps
It’s been real, guys.

TRIPLE FRONTIER: No Turning Back For Affleck & Co. In The Official Trailer
Helping to fill-up the ‘Men On A Mission’ genre of thrillers is J.C. Chandor whose follow-up to A Most Violent Year now has an ensemble cast setting the stakes in Triple Frontier. Ben Affleck, Charlie Hunnam, Oscar Isaac, Garett Hedlund and Pedro Pascal lead the charge with a theatrical open on March 6 to be proceeded by a Netflix rollout on March 13.

TRIPLE FRONTIER Trailer: This Is No Military Operation…
A harrowing mission awaits five men looking for a grand steal in the official trailer now online for director J.C. Chandor’s new crime thriller, Triple Frontier. For this, you could even say the road to the film’s completion was equally enduring at best – once housed at Paramount back in 2010 and serving as the starting point for a marathon development period that lasted eight years.

STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI Keeps The Fandom Stirring With A Final International Trailer
New trailers and such, the release of Star Wars: The Last Jedi remains impending with a December 15 date and the campaign is going hard and heavy for the fandom with as much trailer and TV spottage as it can consume. For me, I’ll just leave it off here unless noted, and with what’s been cited as the final international trailer now online for Rian Johnson’s offering as the eighth canon entry into the longstanding space saga with talking and bleeping droids, creatures, galactic deep space dog fights and epic existential battles on opposite sides of the Force and what have you.

STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI Reaches Darker Twists And Existental Upheaval In The Final Trailer
Monday Night Football wasn’t my go-to for screening the final epic trailer for Rian Johnson’s Star Wars: The Last Jedi. That said, the new footage can now be seen online hailing the continuing epic saga with Daisy Ridley as the latest, albeit conflicted addition to a revamped war against a militaristic space empire as the pendulum swings between underlying symbiotic forces wielded by the Sith and the Jedi.

OPERATION FINALE: Isaac, Raz, Kingsley To Lead WWII Nazi Capture Tale
At a time no less opportune for a film project to bring the evils of Nazism to light, actors Oscar Isaac and Lior Raz are set to lead upcoming drama, Operation Finale. The news comes just shy of two years since MGM opted for UK screenwriter Matthew Orton’s script with the goal of fast tracking its development, now targeting locations in Argentina for the start of production this Fall.
Twilight Saga: New Moon helmer Chris Weitz is set to direct the film, aiming to echo tones similar to that of Ben Affleck’s Argo and Steven Spielberg’s 2005 thriller, Munich with its premise encircling the story of the team that captured Nazi Adolf Eichmann. Raz and Isaac will star in the respective roles of Mossad director Isser Harel who allows Peter Malkin to lead the Argentina mission to capture Eichmann, the latter to be performed by actor Ben Kingsley.
via THR:
Eichmann was considered one of the architects of the Holocaust and oversaw the deaths of hundreds of thousands of Jews. After World War II, he fled to Argentina, where he lived in hiding. Israel’s spy agency Mossad eventually discovered his whereabouts, and in a tense operation captured him and smuggled him out of the country.
Raz, also the star and co-creator of hit Netflix series, Fauda, has a number TV and film projects coming down the pipeline, including two reported several weeks ago which you can read about here. Isaac is set to appear in George Clooney’s latest dark crime comedy, Suburbicon on October 27 prior to returning as Poe Dameron in Rian Johnson’s Star Wars: The Last Jedi on December 15.

STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI: Luke Teases The End Of An Era In The First Official Teaser!
Leaving all sorts of questions in its wake on top of its huge box office success, the events seen in J.J. Abrams’s Star Wars: The Force Awakens now get their hotly anticipated continuation in the upcoming eighth canon installation, Star Wars: The Last Jedi. The official trailer and poster premiered during Star Wars Celebration with director Rian Johnson, cast members in attendance.
Next to the new additions of Benicio del Toro, Laura Dern, and actress Kelly Marie Tran who also joined in on the events on Friday, of course there’s question about who will return and who likely won’t. And for that matter, it’s a film that is sure to pay plenty of homage to the icons of its franchise, both living and departed. Check out the teaser trailer now ahead of the film’s December 15 release!

It is 1914. As the Great War looms, the vast Ottoman Empire is crumbling. Constantinople, the once vibrant, multicultural capital on the shores of the Bosphorus, is about to be consumed by chaos.
Michael Boghosian (Oscar Isaac), arrives in the cosmopolitan hub as a medical student determined to bring modern medicine back to Siroun, his ancestral village in Southern Turkey where Turkish Muslims and Armenian Christians have lived side by side for centuries.
Photo-journalist Chris Myers (Christian Bale), has come here only partly to cover geo-politics. He is mesmerized by his love for Ana (Charlotte le Bon), an Armenian artist he has accompanied from Paris after the sudden death of her father. When Michael meets Ana, their shared Armenian heritage sparks an attraction that explodes into a romantic rivalry between the two men. As the Turks form an alliance with Germany and the Empire turns violently against its own ethnic minorities, their conflicting passions must be deferred while they join forces to survive even as events threaten to overwhelm them.
Academy Award nominee Mike Medavoy (Black Swan, Shutter Island, Zodiac), William Horberg (Cold Mountain, The Talented Mr. Ripley, Sliding Doors, Searching for Bobby Fischer) and Eric Esrailian produced the film. The film had its world premiere at the 2016 Toronto International Film Festival.

TO THE HASHI!: Monahan’s MOJAVE Brings Intriguing Dichotomy Tossed In Conversational Film Salad
It can be argued that Jack and Tom are these contrary expressions of rage interpreted. Jack’s anger, as he gets to know Tom, becomes a rage justified by the umbrage of watching a privileged man take for granted what he has. Tom’s rage, that his attempt to gain perspective on life (or decide, on his own, to end it –perhaps by a form of seppuku) would be interrupted by a stranger seeking to take advantage of his ennui, to, worse, rob him of his choice in regard to life itself. Both Tom and Jake, the campfire blazing between them, speak in grandiose language. Much like Ahab – who as Jake references at one point – does when addressing his crew in the book Moby Dick, to inspire and uplift them. These two characters are flipsides of the same damaged psyche, engaged in a private war to see whose ideology is most true to life.
