Fresh off of filming his forthcoming epic, Dragon Blade, action star Jackie Chan has since moved on to his personal labor of love as of late, the forthcoming production of the action comedy, Skiptrace. The actor is currently in Malaysia filming with The Legend Of Hercules helmer Renny Harlin who was announced to direct back in May following the departure of then-director Sam Fell. With production now underway as of last month, Deadline has the official word of another name change, this time for actor Johnny Knoxville (The Last Stand, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) now up for the role previously announced for actor Sean William Scott. You are forgiven if you were under the impression that international action star Jackie Chan had begun any principal photography yet on his newest crime comedy flick, Skiptrace. The film was supposed to begin shooting in January of last year with Chan starring and also producing, but apparently no updates have come about since then. Following a recently settled lawsuit between Lionsgate and MGM, Summit Entertainment has since unveiled its newest retitling of director Renny Harlin‘s epic fantasy action adventure, Hercules: The Legend Begins, now rebranded as, The Legend Of Hercules. Variety is reporting that Summit Entertainment (Lionsgate) has announced its acquisition of distribution rights for director Renny Harlin‘s large scale fantasy epic, Hercules: The Legend Begins for a February 7, 2014 2D and 3D release. The news follows the explosive premiere of the film’s extended trailer at New York City Comic Con, accompanied by a star-studded panel back in October, previously teased by the film’s lead actor, Kellan Lutz from the set of The Expendables 3 which releases this August.
