While most or all details are currently being kept under wraps regarding their roles in Fast And Furious 7, it is particularly said that Emmanuel‘s role will be portrayed alongside those of returning leads Riddick star Vin Diesel and actor Paul Walker.

You may remember in my previous article where I highlit a Facebook post by actor Vin Diesel who recently partook in a private screening with producers for the upcoming film, Riddick. In case you haven’t read it, the film, directed by David Twohy, releases on September 6, and is already making headlines regarding hopeful plans for a follow-up that deals with the “underverse” mythology illustrated in the 2004 film, The Chronicles Of Riddick.
“So the there was a screening for the Studio…” Diesel wrote on his Facebook page over a week ago. “The Director thinks it’s Riddick’s best, the Producers think it’s the Director’s best… and the Studio.. well… The Studio now wants to make the following chapter… ‘COR: The Underverse’. Although, this would be few years away, a script could come in next month… P.s. Those 30 million of you, who saw the production process through Our page… kinda surreal huh?”
This week, UK periodical SFX confirmed the language on what it all could mean for a possible spin-off for the film. Here, they also emphasized the overall chronology in stating how the Riddick “trilogy” would play out, with the 2000 film, Pitch Black essentially having been a prequel. In the interview with SFX, Twohy says the following: “At its core [Riddick] is a survival story about one man, and his only way to get off this planet is to call in the mercenaries for a ride, …That said, we don’t turn our backs on the mythology that we planted in the last movie, and we are actually bringing Karl [Urban] back for a few days of filming to advance it and lay the groundwork for movie four. We’re concerned with paying off the loyal fans and think that if somebody doesn’t understand something the solution is to look at the other two movies and get up to speed. It does play in a gratifying way as a standalone movie, but there are threads that we continue to sew that we started in previous movies and will continue in future movies.”
When asked what the future films with deal with, Diesel tells SFX, “You’ve got to go to the Underverse, …It’s expected, it’s something I firmly believe. You’ll have to go through the Underverse to get to Furya. So, those are the two further stories that are mapped out. The Underverse is a much more costly venture. We went this direction, trying to do an R-rated movie, which is cool and even more interesting because it’s so unexpected. But yes, you will be at the Underverse and you will be at Furya sooner or later.”
Diesel is currently tapped to star in several upcoming films, including Marvel’s Guardians Of The Galaxy and a new fantasy film franchise titled Soldiers Of The Sun.
Stay tuned for more info.

Vin Diesel is an actor who can do whatever the f**k he wants! Well, at least that is the sentiment he expressed in a statment to L.A. Times Hero Complex columnist Amy Kaufman on Tuesday regarding his latest gig for Marvel as the voice of Groot in the upcoming film, Marvel’s Guardians Of The Galaxy. So, in keeping consistent with his free will, Diesel is jumping on board another epic science-fiction action adventure project titled Soldiers Of The Sun.
Actor Vin Diesel loves to keep in touch with his fans, often teasing and surprising them with cryptic updates about his current happenings in film. (Then again, what superstar doesn’t love teasing his or her fans?). That said, Diesel posted some news on Facebook that would ultimately keep the Riddick fanbase cheering for another couple of years:
We have a new trailer today for Riddick, just over a month away from its theatrical release on September 6, 2013 from Universal Pictures. The news comes just after a report from Deadline broke that lead actor Vin Diesel will also be appearing in the new film World’s Most Wanted, which reunites him as producer alongside Neal Moritz. The film will also be written by Wrath Of The Titans scribe Dan Mazeau who will be penning Tom Cruise’s next Japan property-based live action adaptation, Yukikaze.
Actor Vin Diesel is keeping up the momentum this summer, teasing the production of XXX3, the upcoming “gritty revenge” follow-up in Fast 7, and his latest tease regarding his mysterious talks with Marvel. And amidst it all is the hype for his next film, Riddick, now out with a new, bloody Red-Band trailer that takes the first few trailers you’ve seen and levels it up with a gruesome kills than before.
This year, actor Vin Diesel rocked the box office with the smash hit opening of Fast And Furious 6. And on September 6, 2013, he plans to do it all over again with the latest installation in the Pitch Black saga, Riddick, courtesy of Universal Pictures.
The infamous Riddick has been left for dead on a sun-scorched planet that appears to be lifeless. Soon, however, he finds himself fighting for survival against alien predators more lethal than any human he’s encountered. The only way off is for Riddick to activate an emergency beacon and alert mercenaries who rapidly descend to the planet in search of their bounty. The first ship to arrive carries a new breed of merc, more lethal and violent, while the second is captained by a man whose pursuit of Riddick is more personal. With time running out and a storm on the horizon that no one could survive, his hunters won’t leave the planet without Riddick’s head as their trophy.
It is a dark time in the universe. Planet after planet is falling to an unholy army of Necromongers–conquering warriors who offer ravaged worlds a simple choice–convert or die. Those who refuse their rule hope in vain for someone or something that will slow the spread of Necromongers. But rebels are short-lived and saviors, it seems, are in short supply. When things get bad, weary survivors turn to myths for comfort–murmured propheciesm, vain hopes, legends of good vanquishing evil. But good isn’t always the antidote to evil and legends can be wrong. Sometimes the only way to stop evil is not with good–but with another kind of evil. So an unlikely figure is summoned from exile and asked to join the fight: Riddick, who couldn’t care less who’s in charge of the universe, just as long as he’s left along. Since leaving a god-forgotten (and creature-ridden) planet in the Tauras system five years ago, the wanted fugitive hasn’t looked back. Most of the time has been spent evading capture and ghosting whatever mercenaries are on his tail. To him, it’s all the same, apocalype or no–this one-man army is interested only in saving his own life. Get in his way and his gladly take yours. But something has been set in motion, and the coming confrontation propels Riddick into a series of epic, winner-take-all battles: from an idyllic, multicultural civilizaton under seige; to a subterranean prison carved beneath the surface of a hellish, volcanic planet; and finally, aboard the massive baroque Necro motherhship and the seat of power in their black empire–the Basilica. In the final battle, it is foretold that the fate of all may depend upon the destiny of on Furyan.
