The Horsemen return with a bigger steed this November!
Slated for a July 16, 2021 release from Sony, director Ruben Fleischer is currently at the helm for Uncharted, based on the hit game franchise from Naughty Dog, and both the studio, and actor Tom Holland, took to their platforms to reveal a first look at the lead character. The Wrap reported more details as follows: The movie is a prequel to the events of the games, which feature Drake as an ancestor to Sir Francis Drake as he explores lost cities, hunts historical treasure and maybe encounters not just an army of bad guys looking to make a power grab but maybe some supernatural forces along the way. The games have become known for their cinematic style and quick-witted dialogue, much of it courtesy of the smarmy Nathan Drake. The film also co-stars Mark Wahlberg, along with Antonio Banderas, Tati Gabrielle and Sophia Ali. Check out the photo below […]
The most joyous delights right now about the new Zombieland: Double Tap trailer right now is probably seeing the returning cast in all its glory; this sequel from director Ruben Fleischer has been a long time coming and with an October 18 release in store, Woody Harrelson looks like he’s right at home. And surely enough we’ll be too. A decade after Zombieland became a hit film and a cult classic, the lead cast (Woody Harrelson, Jesse Eisenberg, Abigail Breslin, and Emma Stone) have reunited with director Ruben Fleischer (Venom) and the original writers Rhett Reese & Paul Wernick (Deadpool) for Zombieland: Double Tap. In the sequel, written by Rhett Reese & Paul Wernick and Dave Callaham, through comic mayhem that stretches from the White House and through the heartland, these four slayers must face off against the many new kinds of zombies that have evolved since the first movie, […]
Fresh from her run as Claire Temple in a spate of now-cancelled Marvel shows at Netflix, Rosario Dawson is now set to appear in Zombieland: Double Tap which opens in theaters on October 11 marking the sequel’s two-year anniversary. Per the latter point, Sony’s marketing took to social media on Tuesday to adhere to netizens’ keenness on the “10 Year Challenge” coupling the poster from the 2009 hit film next to the newest poster featuring the returning cast: Jesse Eisenberg, Emma Stone, Woody Harrelson, and Abigail Breslin. #10YearChallenge? Challenge Accepted. #Zombieland2 pic.twitter.com/EeCuR8QVx6 — Sony Pictures (@SonyPictures) January 29, 2019 Through comic mayhem that stretches from the White House and through the heartland, the Zombie slayers must face off against many new kinds of zombies that have evolved since the first movie, as well as some new human survivors. But most of all, they have to face the growing pains of […]
Sony Pictures, for what it’s worth, may be all in with all things spiders and superheroes in the years to come with a whole line-up of characters in the works for film and likely even TV. The darkly-pursued anti-hero, Venom, stands as one of them with Ruben Fleischer at the helm and with a profile bolstering steadily among fandoms, including most recently at Comic-Con in San Diego. That milestone now brings us a second official trailer in which we are further immersed into the world of Eddie Brock, a reporter whose investigation into a seedy corporation experimenting with alien symbiotes now find him at the center of his own interpersonal crisis. Invaded and corrupted by a symbiote of his own, Brock is now at a precipice where he’s forced to mitigate with a vicious supernatural parasite to survive while, as the trailer shows, other symbiotes take on other hosts. If […]
Movie fans who’ve been pining for a sequel for Ruben Fleischer’s 2009 zombie splatter romp, Zombieland, needn’t wait any further. As Borys Kit notes at The Hollywood Reporter’s Heat Vision blog, production on Zombieland 2 is officially set to commence in January in time for a ceremonial October 2019 release from Sony Pictures. The first film starred Jesse Eisenburg, Woody Harrelson, Emma Stone and Abigail Breslin in the respective roles of Columbus, Tallahassee, Witchita and Little Rock – four strangers who’d find themselves surviving together on the road amidst a zombie apocalypse. All four principle cast members are set to reprise their roles with original Zombieland scribes Paul Wernick and Rhett Resse (Deadpool, Deadpool 2) back to pen the script. The new movie will once again put the focus on comic mayhem, taking the quartet from the White House to the American heartland as they face off against new kinds […]
Save for those who’ve read “Lethal Protector” and “Planet Of The Symbiotes”, it still stands a mystery as to how Ruben Fleischer’s new comic book movie, Venom, will pan out by its October 5. What’s not a mystery anymore is just what justice, exactly, lead actor Tom Hardy might do when he dons the iconic character himself in full bloom – which he finally gets to in the newly-released trailer now here following its CinemaCon airing and a pre-emptive online leak. And the newest poster is no joke either! Tom Hardy is joined by Michelle Williams, Riz Ahmed, Scott Haze and Reid Scott for this latest R-rated bit of fanfare inspired by the Marvel Comics’ 1984 Spider-Man offshoot which became official in title in 1988. For this, time will tell how long it’ll be before we witness actor Woody Harrelson spawning the red symbiote as Carnage following rumors that sprung […]
Things are boding well for Sony and all things Spider-Man. Their latest take on the villainous Venom is now shaping up for the solid start of a trilogy which could well veer into Spidey territory as things move forward. Alas, the studio is finally unveiling an official teaser and comic book fans are already reeling, and not for nothing. Indeed Tom Hardy stands to gain quite a bit from his incarnation of Eddie Brock and the footage amply dispels that mystery accordingly…sans costume that is, but we do get a good visual of the very symbiote the Marvel property is based on as well as that of Michelle Williams which hints further that our titular anti-hero might not be alone in donning the symbiotic alien armor. Whatever the case may be, updates on comic book movies can be fickle and so we’ll be sharing the solid stuff in due time. […]
ComingSoon.net has reported via Deadline that director Reuben Fleischer (Zombieland) will helm the big screen adaptation of Midway’s popular 1980’s videogame, Spy Hunter, with a screenplay from Carter Blanchard. So far the film’s only known cast will feature actor Tom Hardy (The Dark Knight Rises, Warrior) in the title role, with legendary Hong Kong fight choreographer Corey Yuen Kwai (The Legend Of Fong Sai Yuk 1 and 2, Kiss Of The Dragon, The Man With The Iron Fists) to direct the action. Filmmaker John Woo was previously attached to direct the film, with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson to lead. Hardy is set to appear in George Miller’s upcoming film, Mad Max: Fury Road.
