SNOWPIERCER Director Bong Joon-Ho: "We're Talking A Lot About Keeping The Original Cut."

It was intially reported back in August that film distributors over at The Weinstein Company were going to release a version of director Bong Joon-Ho‘s latest science fiction action epic, Snowpiercer, which would have twenty minutes of the film removed. The initial report from IF Magazine quoted writer and film festival programmer Tony Rayns who said “TWC people have told Bong that their aim is to make sure the film ‘will be understood by audiences in Iowa… and Oklahoma,’”, further adding that TWC’s treatment of the film for the U.S., which would unnecessarily add opening and closing voice overs and remove a lot of the character development that was so elemental for the film’s success, was also reflection on other English-speaking areas for which they pre-bought the rights to the film earlier on. The New Poster For BLACK BUTLER Is Online

The new poster is online for Warner Bros. Japan’s upcoming live-action manga thriller, Black Butler. Adapted for a big screen spin-off from Yana Toboso’s original 2006 Square Enix manga publication by screenwriter Kuroiwa Tsutomu for directors Kentaro Otani and Keiichi Satou, the film stars Hiro Mizushima in the title role along with actress Ayame Gōriki set in a futuristic multicultural Victorian-era Asian city in a story about a wealthy heiress who masks her identity as a boy to exact her revenge with the help of her butler, whose unique skillset make him a force to be recknoned with. Featuring action choreography by Ouchi Takahito, Black Butler also stars Ohno Takuro, Yuka, Kaito Ken, Mizuki Yamamoto, Maruyama Tomomi, Shirota Yu, Yasuda Ken, Hashimoto Satoshi, Shigaki Taro, Ibu Masato and  Kishitani Goro. The New Teaser For BRUTAL Spells In Blood

The new teaser is out for the upcoming mixed-martial arts science fiction action thriller, Brutal. The film stars The Forbidden Kingdom co-star, lead actor and martial artist Morgan Benoit, and former New York Giants player Jeff Hatch making his feature-length screen debut. The official website for Eleven Arts is announcing via press release that the intergalactic space thriller, Space Battleship Yamato is officially making its way to theaters in North America and Canada in the next few months. I’m not totally endowed in knowledge about videogames, but that doesn’t stop Corridor Digital’s latest collaborative project from looking as ridiculously and unapologetically AWESOME as it does. Yes, the EMC Monkeys have done it again with Blood Dragon: The Cyber Wars, the latest short film based on the FarCry trilogy of videogames that began in 2004. The shortfilm features EMC Monkeys member Xin Sarith Wuku in an dark and post-apocalyptic world filled with androids, explosions, big guns, lazers, swordfighting and all kinds of retro-cool set pieces filled with 80s and 90s cyberpunk nostalgia.
