Just over two years since signaling fans with sequel hopes for his 2018 graphic novel adaptation, Accident Man, plans are officially underway for starring actor Scott Adkins to shoot the new chapter entirely in Malta this November. Film duo George and Harry Kirby will make their feature directing debut on the project with Sony Entertainment and Six Demon Films back to produce the sequel. Late Tuesday, that roster got a little bigger with word actor and martial arts film star Scott Adkins is in talks a role in the hitman franchise, joining him with Keanu Reeves, Rina Sawayama, and Shamier Anderson, and screen action legends Hiroyuki Sanada and Donnie Yen. I promise, I’m a better writer than I am an orator. However, if you have an hour to expend and wanna hear me giggle my ass off while struggling to put words into viable sentences to discuss movies, fandom and the new Scott Adkins action comedy sci-fi, Max Cloud, the latest episode over at Adkins Undisputed is where it’s at. The show is hosted by Michael Scott who previously expressed his views in a piece for our site about Koichi Sakamoto’s 2009 action thriller, Broken Path. Michael and I discuss the film, fandom, and even weigh in a bit on social issues – namely LGBTQ rights. Certainly, it’s a different kind of film for the relatively well-known martial arts star famously known for his more brooding performances in the Undisputed franchise and Jesse Johnson’s Avengement among other hits. Readying what looks to be a December 18 select theatrical and on-demand release from Well Go USA, the official U.S. trailer is now streaming online for action adventure sci-fi, Max Cloud. Martin Owen (Killers Anonymous) directs from a script he co-wrote with Sally Collett, for a cast led by actress Isabelle Allen (Les Misérables, Killers Anonymous), and starring actor and martial artist Scott Adkins (Ip Man: The Finale) in the title role for his latest turn at comedy as well. When teen gamer Sarah finds an “easter egg” and accidentally opens a portal into her favorite side-scroller, she becomes trapped in a notorious intergalactic prison, home to the galaxy’s most dangerous villains.
