Last week saw the release of the official trailer for Western gangster noir, The Big Ugly, coming this July from Vertical Entertainment. The film serves as more than a hard-boiled gangster thriller that sees the likes of Vinnie Jones and Ron Perlman headlining. Next to reuniting Jones with writer and director Scott Wiper (The Condemned), the film also stands as a touching tribute to Jones’ late wife according to last month’s press release. “It was more than a movie for us to make. (My late wife) Tanya was our staunch supporter on The Big Ugly. She said ‘go make the film.’ She pushed us,” says producer/star Vinnie Jones.
