It only took two and a half years for Line Of Duty and Marauders helmer Steven C. Miller’s latest, Werewolves, to finally arrive. The past year saw the film ramp up its progress with post-production updates from the director via social media and with prospects now turning up a December 6 theatrical release from Briarcliff Entertainment, the official trailer is now online. In WEREWOLVES, a supermoon event has triggered a latent gene in every human on the planet, turning anyone who entered the moonlight into a werewolf for that one night. Chaos ensued and close to a billion people died. Now, a year later, the Supermoon is back…. Werewolves is toplined by Frank Grillo who’d been teasing the trailer countdown in part with comparisons to The Purge films, and, he ain’t lying! Also starring are Katrina Law, Ilfenesh Hadera and Lou Diamond Phillips from a script by Matthew Kennedy. Bloody […]

If you’re sitting here and wondering just why in the name of all that is pure and true is Escape Plan 2: Hades, headed to the ancillary market instead of theaters, you’re definitely not alone. Indeed it’s happening though, gladly as one of two forthcoming sequels following the 2013 hit film starring A-listers, returning actor Sylvester Stallone and trilogy newcomer Bautista. Ray Breslin (Sylvester Stallone) manages an elite team of security specialists trained in the art of breaking people out of the world’s most impenetrable prisons. When his most trusted operative, Shu Ren, is kidnapped and disappears inside the most elaborate prison ever built, entirely computerized and constantly changing shape, Ray must track him down with the help of some of his former friends. Steven C. Miller directs with a cast that rounds out with Jamie King, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, Jesse Metcalf, Huang Xiaoming and Wes Chatham for a […]
Marauders and Extraction helmer Steven C. Miller will go before cameras in Alabama next month to helm The Solution Group’s action thriller, Live!. Borys Kit’s exclusive at The Hollywood Reporter confirms the news which sees Miller replacing award winning second unit action directors/stunt coordinators Darrin Prescott and Wade Allen for what would have been their directorial debut. Eckhart retains his involvement on the film since 2015, starring now alongside Mad Max: Fury Road co-star Courtney Eaton for the story of Kyle Penny, a disgraced cop with only eighty minutes to live while in search of the police commisioner’s after daughter trapped somewhere in the city. Miller is set to release in limited theaters and on digital on July 21 with actor Bruce Willis helping lead the way for a low-key tale of intrigue and danger which sees a father joined by the police to search for his kidnapped son. Facebook The baffling nature behind actor Sylvester Stallone’s departure from franchises like Rambo and The Expendables is still something of a mystery. In the meantime, it’s become clearer and clearer that he’s ready to devote his time to the current potential now thriving in the upcoming sequel to Mikael Hafstrom’s Escape Plan which currently has Extraction helmer Steven C. Miller directing. Thus, follow Stallone on social media enough and you might be keen on any number of update which have so far included a teeny bit of teaser footage from the movie featuring Stallone and actor Dave Bautista, as well as shots at a robot like fixture on the set emulating what appears to be some form of A.I.. Actress Jamie Bell and reprising actor Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson also star in the film as do The Philly Kid star Wes Chatham and Ip Man 2 co-star Huang Xiaoming for […]
Principal photography commenced in Atlanta, Georgia on Monday this week for the new sequel, Escape Plan 2 which currently has actor Sylvester Stallone reprising his role from the 2014 hit movie from director Mikael Hafstrom. Extraction and Marauders helmer Steven C. Miller is directing from a script by Miles Chapman and while plot details remain pending, casting did make other confirmations in the previous week in which Dave Bautista was also confirmed. For this, we have news from Deadline as of several days ago that actor Wes Chatham has been cast in the film as well with an undisclosed role. Chatham’s recent credits include recently renewed SyFy series, The Expanse, and films such as Jason Connery’s hard-hitting MMA action drama, The Philly Kid, Alfonso Gomez-Rejon’s Western thriller, The Town That Dreaded Sundown, and Lionsgate’s two-part Mockingjay finale of The Hunger Games. Marauders helmer Steven C. Miller is back on the big screen this January following his latest crime pic, Arsenal. Formerly titled Philly Fury and with a cast that adds Nicolas Cage opposite Jonathan Schaech, Adrian Grenier and John Cusack, the first trailer for the upcoming Grindstone/Lionsgate release has finally arrived. SYNOPSIS: A powerful action thriller, ARSENAL tells the intertwining stories of the Lindel brothers, Mikey (Johnathon Schaech) and JP (Adrian Grenier), who had only each other to rely on growing up. As adults, JP found success as the owner of a construction company, while Mikey became a small-time mobster, mired in a life of petty crime. Actor Bruce Willis is on a pretty good streak lately. Prolifically he’s up for the lead role in Eli Roth’s forthcoming Death Wish remake while staying afloat with a slew of action films from E/F/O Films with director Steven C. Miller (Extraction, Marauders). This week, the streak continues with both star and director rejoining once more for the new thriller First Kill. Filming begins next month with a script by Nick Gordon which sees Willis as a police chief in a race against time when a thug shoots a bankrobber who takes a young boy hostage as incentive to acquire a missing key to his loot following a fumbled heist. E/F/O’s own Randal Emmett George Furla will produce the film next to executive producers Trevor Matthews of Brookstreet Pictures, Barry Brooker and Stan Wertlieb, and co-producers Tim Sullivan, Tony Callie, Ryan Black, and Nick Gordon. H/T: Deadline
Extraction helmer Steven C. Miller’s newest, Marauders, is finally hitting the pavement with a new trailer ahead of its July 1 theatrical and digital release. Actors Bruce Willis and Christopher Meloni leave some pretty good impressions here as does Dave Bautista who I can see becoming something of a much stronger actor apart from his prominence in wrestling, which I think is impressive; He’s got Kickboxer: Vengeance and Warrior’s Gate coming up along with Cary Murnion’s Bushwick, so I’m pretty stoked. SYNOPSIS: When a bank is hit by a brutal heist, all evidence points to the owner (Bruce Willis) and his high-powered clients. But as a group of FBI agents (Christopher Meloni, Dave Bautista and Adrian Grenier) dig deeper into the case — and the deadly heists continue — it becomes clear that a larger conspiracy is at play. Watch the new trailer right now!
Philidelphia will set the stage for director Steven C. Miller’s new action flick, Philly Fury. Deadline reported this week the film will commence in May with a script by Jason Mosberg which pits a businessman against a local crimeboss when his deadbeat brother gets kidnapped and held for ransom. Nicolas Cage is the first to be cast for the film which Emmett/Furla/Oasis Films is producing, as well as releasing through their earlier distribution deal with Lionsgate. Miller previously helmed Extraction which featured Kellan Lutz, Bruce Willis and Gina Carano for its 2015 release, and is currently in post production with heist thriller, Marauders, also with Willis and starring Christopher Meloni and Dave Bautista. Cage joins actor Elijah Wood in the new crime dramedy, The Trust, on May 13.

Posted by Extraction on Friday, November 20, 2015 Actor Kellan Lutz’s post-Twilight career is flourishing pretty nicely. His progression s not as big nor as soon as one may have hoped, though it helps that he’s starred in a number of decent films to date, most notably Conor Allyn’s 2013 thriller, Java Heat in which he plays an AWOL solider in search of a terrorist. Such a film bodes nicely with a resumé that even accomodates a small leading role in an Expendables movie, and here and now following suit, his latest lead role in Steven C. Miller’s new […]
December 18 is going to be one crowded day at the movies with so many titles to choose from. However, if you haven’t had a plate-full by then and have a little more room left, Steven C. Miller‘s new action thriller, Extraction, ought to help hit the spot…you know, like a superman punch to the face or a swift kick to the sternum. Or something. SYNOPSIS: When a terrorist group kidnaps retired CIA field operative Leonard Turner, his son Harry Turner, a government analyst who has been repeatedly turned down for field service, launches his own unsanctioned rescue operation. While evading highly skilled operatives, deadly assassins, and international terrorists, Harry finally puts his combat training to the test in a high-stakes mission to find his father and to stop a terrorist plot. Simon Rhee coordinated the action you’re about to see featuring Bruce Willis, Kellan Lutz and Gina Carano whose […]

It’s no easy feat to live in NYC, but it’ll be no less easy for actress Jane Levy as she’s forced to survive the living hell that directors Cary Murnion and Jonathan Milott have happening in their latest film, Bushwick. The film was announced back in March with Levy set to play 20-year old Lucy who emerges from the subway only to find her neighborhood in Brooklyn under siege as the result of Texas’s latest attempt to secede from the union. Lucy will be forced to fend off looters, local militias and a crazy cousin within the span of five treacherous blocks before she can reunite with her grandmother. Fortunately she won’t be alone on her mission as the developments don’t end there with word from Deadline that Dave Bautista will be joining Levy as Stupe, a veteran who aides Lucy on her mission. Graham Reznik and Cold In July […]
Kellan Lutz is soon set to embark on a new journey as the host of Fox’s May 27 game show, Bullseye. In the meantime, he’s still taking on the title of action star these days and The Wrap is forwarding news that he’ll be starring in the new contained action thriller, The Feud for Summerstorm Entertainment and Vandal Entertainment. The Expendables 3 and The Legend Of Hercules actor will play Toland, a young man who attends his brother’s funeral upon returning to his rural Midwest hometown, only to find himself trapped in an abandoned farming complex with his friends by a local crime lord and forced to use his skills and wit to survive while unlocking a greater mystery. David Matalon and Matthew Altman wrote the script for Navid McIlhargey and Gabriela Bacher to produce, pairing Lutz once more with director Steven C. Miller since completing the upcoming actioner, Extraction […]
Kellan Lutz in THE EXPENDABLES 3 From Lionsgate Director Steven C. Miller‘s latest action thriller, Extraction, has only just begun filming, and casting news is finally making the rounds. The film began principal photography just yesterday in Mobile, Alabama with producers Randall Emmett and George Furla and Adam Goldworm on hand, and now the film has officially added one other key cast member for the film’s plot. Following the film’s announcement last month with action stars Bruce Willis and MMA fighter-turned-actress Gina Carano attached, Deadline is confirming the addition of actor Kellan Lutz to the mix. Lutz will play Harry Turner, a rookie C.I.A. agent who sets out in search of his kidnapped father, played by Willis, against the wishes of his superiors in the wake of the construction of a super-weapon called the Condor; The report also expands on last week’s news of Carano‘s addition by THR, detailing her […]
