Back to remind the geek community once more of the coming onslaught this Spring, Legendary had unveiled a brand new official trailer for Pacific Rim: Uprising. Steven S. DeKnight carries on the exciting narrative with actor John Boyega helping shepherd two big sci-fi franchises, here and now as the reluctant hero now joined by a new line-up of Jaeger pilots ready to tackle a deadly threat like never before. Such is what the new trailer indicates along with a raft of spectacular Kaiju fighting feats added to the action caliber for this installment. Scott Eastwood and newcomer Cailee Spaeny also star along with the reprisals of actress Kikuchi Rinko and actor Charlie Day and the additions of actress Adria Arjona and Jing Tian. Meet ‘The Prodigal Son’, Heroes And Jaegers Of PACIFIC RIM: UPRISING

With a hype teaser already online, the first official teaser trailer for Steven DeKnight’s Pacific Rim: Uprising, is expected to arrive on Friday. In the meantime, the film is taking the online stage with a set of solid first-look stills to share which are host to an amalgam of Jaeger hardware and new characters in costume including more on actor John Boyega and Scott Eastwood. “Jake is the prodigal son,” Boyega tells EW. “He is a young guy who was on the cusp of greatness in his early days when he was training to be a Jaeger pilot, but he always had a troubled relationship with Stacker. A sequel to 2013 sci-fi action epic, Pacific Rim wasn’t initially an easy milestone to reach. Box office returns were okay but barely enough to get both feet in the door until it was made official as production went underway last year. The cast is led by actor John Boyega in succession as the son of Idris Elba’s role from the first film and he now debuts in Jaeger operating form in a new Comic-Con viral video for GoJaeger.com. Sequel expectations for dorector Guillermo del Toro’s 2013 sci-fi monster epic, Pacific Rim, have been somewhat of a rollercoaster. The film generally didn’t do well enough to greenlight a follow-up right away, but it ultimately earned a cult following from fans who’ve simply wanted to see more. A year later, both del Toro and Legendary’s own Thomas Tull invested updates of their own before announcing an April 2017 release (before it was pushed back four months), while plans were in motion to develop graphic novels and an animated series to tie-in to both films. Reports are being confirmed that Boardwalk Empire series co-star Charlie Cox will be playing the role of Marvel superhero, Daredevil and his alter-ego, Matt Murdock in upcoming Netflix series premiere. The news comes just after Drew Goddard’s departure as showrunner, followed by updates announcing Steven DeKnight taking his place, with Goddard serving as producer instead. With this bit of info arriving, we now also have the official series synopsis straight from Marvel: Blinded as a young boy but imbued with extraordinary senses, Matt Murdock fights against injustice by day as a lawyer, and by night as the super hero Daredevil in modern day Hell’s Kitchen, New York City.
