Celebrated director Kohei Yoshino (Anime Supremacy!) will soon be tried by audiences once again with upcoming manga adaptation, The Silent Service. Kaiji Kawaguchi’s late 80s manga is now a thing of big-screen aspirations with Toho and Amazon Japan partnering together for new political war thriller, The Silent Service. The first official teaser introduces leading man Takao Osawa who plays a Naval captain who declares his ship a sovereign state.
With a director as able as Yu Irie to deliver an intriguing and suspenseful thriller as he’s done in films like Joker Game and his recent Confession Of Murder remake, his latest, A.I. Collapse looks to continue the trend here.
It’ll be a few years since moviegoers heard from Gangoose and Vigilante helmer Yu Irie, but local filmgoers can feel free to scribble in a Janaury 31, 2020 release to look at his newest venture, AI Collapse. A tale set in 2030 when artificial intelligence, an autonomous and essential aspect of everyday human life suddenly teeters with mankind on the brink of extinction, AI Collapse stars Takao Osawa, Kento Kaku, Takanori Iwata, Alice Hirose and Tomokazu Miura from a script by Irie.
