The official trailer is now online for Sleeping Dogs, the new murder mystery crime drama from Adam Cooper. Russell Crowe leads the cast along with Karen Gillan, Márton Csókás, Thomas M. Wright, Harry Greenwood, and Tommy Flanagan, from a script by Cooper and co-scribe Bill Collage, based on the work of “The Book Of Mirrors” author E.O. Chirovici.
Underwater helmer William Eubank is headed to theaters early next year with action drama, Land Of Bad. The film stars Russell Crowe and Liam Hemsworth, along with Milo Ventimiglia, Ricky Whittle, and Luke Hemsworth for theatrical release on February 16 from The Avenue.
The Avenue rolled out the official trailer and keyart this week for 57 Seconds, the new sci-fi action thriller from director Rusty Cundieff. Based on a short story by E.C. Tubb, the film was written by Cundieff and by Macon Blair, for a cast led by Josh Hutcherson, Greg Germann, Lovie Simone, Bevin Bru, Sammi Rotibi, and Morgan Freeman.
Adrian Grünberg’s newest horror thriller has since begun its campaign with an official trailer for The Black Demon. The film stars Josh Lucas, Fernanda Urrejola and Julio Cesar Cedillo, and is releasing exclusively in theaters on April 14 via Highland Film Group’s distribution shingle, The Avenue.
Principal photography recently wrapped in the Dominican Republic for upcoming survival thriller, The Black Demon, and we can now offer a first look photo right above. Actor Josh Lucas (Ford v Ferrari, Sweet Home Alabama) stands front and center of the new film currently being shopped at EFM, with Highland Film Group handling worldwide sales rights and The Avenue handling domestic U.S..
Josh Lucas (Ford v Ferrari, The Forever Purge) is set to star in The Black Demon, from director Adrian Grunberg (Rambo: Last Blood, Get the Gringo). Lucas will star from a script by Boise Esquerra (Austin Film Festival nominated “Blackwater”), with cameras set to roll in December 2021 on location in the Dominican Republic.
Upcoming comedy-horror film Slayers has been picked up for worldwide sales and release in 2022. Highland Film Group, a sales, financing, production and distribution company, specializes in the action/thriller/horror space and cast/director/filmmaker driven content. The film will be handled domestically by their US Distribution division, The Avenue, which was launched in 2020 and already has a catalog of films with stars from many genres, including Nicholas Cage, Pierce Brosnan, and Frank Grillo.
As repoted by the trades this week, Highland Film Group’s The Avenue has secured North American distribution rights for action thriller, The System. The film stars Tyrese Gibson (The Fast & Furious franchise), Terrence Howard (Lionsgate’s Crash, Fox’s “Empire”), Jeremy Piven (HBO’s “Entourage”), and Lil Yachty (Lionsgate’s Long Shot).
